I received my Viv Richards video last night, and sat at home watching one of the greatest batsmen ever. I forgot how cleanly and how hard this bloke used to hit the ball, some of his pull shots were hit so hard it is unbelievable.
And he also scored his runs when the WI really needed him to which is the mark of a real class player.
Over 2 hours of Viv in action..... plus a good interview with Ritchie Benaud!

Did they show his dismissal from the final ball at the G when Lillee clean bowled him? ;)
Agree though the power of the bloke in his shots was awesome, only seen one bloke hit them harder. His Captain, Lloyd! Some of their partnerships... bbbrrrrr, bad memorys for an Aussie boy growing up late seventies early eighties!

No, in fact they did not show much of Lillee vs Richards at all, which was a bit dissapointing. There is some good footage of Lille in the mid-70s pounding in with the long hair, fiery moustashe, shirt open with the medallion...made me laugh, and brought back a few memories.

Viv Richards was a king of calypso cricket, thats for sure! Anyone know what he's up to today? Like is he working with cricket devlopment in the West Indies?
