I hear that Mark Williams has talked about drafting a mature player to help fill the hole left by a recovering Paxman....

Reckon Mick Martyn could be that player at #75? :)

We still have Morgan
I'd rather Cox over Martyn if any of them

My mail is that Mick Martyn will be staying at Arden St. I don't think it would be a wise choice for Port, even if he was available. Very tough, very good player in his time, but unfortunately, his time has passed, I believe. However, I am all "for" giving a mature player a go. I believe our list is young enough to afford one or two mature types.

Just thought that i add that of any of the players mention already i would go for Robran, he could be used to cover the loss of Pax for part of next year and meady and Pax in years to come.

If we drafted Martyn it would be a giant step backwards. Why bother drafting someone that is completly past his use by date??

Id much rather Cox...but i reckon Morgan should be given his chance at Full Back

Can't believe you guys would consider Micky Martyn - he looked extremely suspect injury wise last year. I reckon you would be better off drafting Greg Phillips or Martin Leslie. But seriously, I know you have a problem with Paxman out & Mead looked suspect, but you still have Wakelin (who is solid), Basset (who is under-rated) & Bishop who have enough experience. Also, French could play back & Thurstans looks a likely type.

No way should we even consider Martyn. I like the option of Cox though as I think he would be another asset to our midfield.
