Touring Europe at the moment after being in the US for work. Due back at the end of this month and tells me he'll be right for footy for the whole year.

Should have an extremly solid back line if jarrod plays. Is Tim Leng Going round Again?? Is Troy Hosking staying???

What about your goodself Garry were will you be playing this year now that your calling the shots??

Red Cliffs are stuffed, I believe Robinvale will slip right down and Wentworth dont have the depth or recruits to match the local teams.
Top three sides will be Irymple, us and Mildura. The rest will make up numbers.

Yeah signed up a couple of guys who played for balranald, apparantly got dropped in the finals, not sure on what or where they play (or if they are any good). They looked young though so they won't fell left out with the current squad we have. Will find out more in the next few days and keep u guys posted.

More "Sunraysia's Own" beat ups.

Our own "Akker".....Played here when he was 7.

Our own "Kelly Brothers" When did they last live here?

Our own "Vandenberg, Hunt" ad nauseum........

Our own ".....insert name here....." Who just happened to fly over here in a plane once or who's parents drove through Mildura on the way to Adelaide.
More of the same I expect.

how could merbein let any good young player go at this stage. they must find a way to keep their young players at the club. if it came to the crunch surely the tribunal wouldnt let him transfer either.

8 Jan 2007, 15:51
Re. Congress I reckon the tribunal could not refuse him a clearance.
He isn't under contract and he doesn't owe Merbein any cash.
I believe they would be the only grounds for refusing any player a clearance.
Would merbien be prepared to put up the bond to go to the tribunal over a clearance for congress.(they would need to have good grounds)
How old was Leigh Riodan when merbein recruited him.

The ground sharing would probably occur if the water restrictions would not allow the city grounds to be watered (town water at No 1 and 3)

Mark this date down in your diaries boys, Friday March 16.
Heard a whisper today that Mildura will be hosting a NAB Challenge
pre-season AFL game at Quandong Park again this year.
The teams will remain unknown until the opening rounds of the
NAB Cup have been run and won. This game is scheduled on the day
before the NAB Cup which will take place on Saturday the 17 of March.

Yeah the few guys i've spoken to are against giving a clearance, but once the wheels get put in motion with paperwork through the SFL, then we'll see how hard we will play it. I certaintly wouldn't want to see him leave on bad terms. I don't want him to leave at all. He has talent but unless he shows consistency he will find himself playing seconds for more games than he thinks. Its not merbein out there and its a strong senior line up.
I really think he should enjoy his footy and if thats not at merbein so be it, but i can't see us letting him go without giving it our all to maintain him.
There are some guys out Kenny Park who don't want players who don't want to be there but realistically we need to keep as many of our young talented players as possible.

Falvo Robinvale, on-baller would have played in the AFL if he was 6 inches taller.
Simms Irymple, CHF can win a club a flag himself
Gathercole,South Mildura, on-baller very strong, knee reco don't think he'll line up this year.
Alvey Wentworth, on-baller, didn't play last year broke his leg first game 06, looking for a big year, coaching Wentworth this year
Eaton Irymple coach, on-baller, not his best year last year (did coach them 2 a flag) can play

This age group has always been a bit of a worry as there are many distractions that they dont have to train for, usually find out which ones are the dedicated footballers. Parents have always been a problem in each age group when you want kids to step up

its says the vcfl have rubber stamped the move to u/10, u/12, u/14 and u/16 but it is subject to the sfl and sjfl reaching agreement. congress says it will go ahead if the u/18s remain viable and there are 5 sfl clubs in a precarious situation. i know imps, south, mildura and irymple are safe, that leaves four. maybe that merbein is one, that only leaves r/c, w/w and robinvale.

Maybe the reason you couldn't count five blokes was because there was only 1. Spivey was doing extra training and goal kicking by himself as he lives out that way.

South are training Monday and Friday at the High School and Wednesday down at the river during pre season so this might also help you understand that we are not sharing your ground.

I think he has spoken to most clubs but yes he has been offered a stack to play with Bambill, interesting to see what he does.... might be a big mover from south ranks too I hear.....

David Hall hasn't spoken to many clubs and hasn't been offered heaps to play at Bambill. If he was to play there he would make the move in an attempt to enjoy his footy again as he lost the enjoyment over the past two seasons.

Why would he be enjoying his footy with the Dee's?
Could you or the coach answer that??
He would be welcomed by any of the 7 other SFL sides surely, is there more to it? is Hall a tool or a sook?

Whos your source there Peter Mac? Why would Cat Thomas want to leave South, perhaps hes another who cant play under Spivey i dont blame him as Spivey is a dead set TOSSER:thumbsd: :thumbsd:
The green and whites are having a fair crack at recruiting and it seems they have done very well with big Atkinson, another big tall from Adelaide way now maybe Cat thomas, first time in a little while the cheque book has come out at Imps land.;)

So did he train or not? Surely South wont let him go. Very talented young footballer. Played footy with Spivey and don't think his a bad bloke at all, is just that he asks too much of blokes or expects his team to be at a better standard and some can't handle that?

I heard that irymple were showing some interest in Thomas. Perhaps they are being a bit frugal with the cash. or if I was Delray "Phroogal".

your kidding yourself...$300 skins to play bush footy isn't big dollars???? If thats not heaps then i will bear my ass in the mall, and from a realible source that comes from the inner sanctom, this is what the dees have to compete with. And a many clubs, what 2 in the millewa and one if not more in the SFL, nope I wouldn't class that many clubs...... But if he gets it good luck to him but don't quote crap like 'not many clubs and not heaps of money to play at Bambill'

If they had a spare 5pts why wouldn't he be worth it? Bloke can play a bit, i'm sure all clubs wouldn't mind him running around on a HFF changing on the ball.
