Nothing new from the Vics. I think the coach just wants to boost Shanes confidence.
Shane Harwood is the most underrated bowler in Australia, and unlike Lewis is always economical in One dayers

And is a handy hitter at the lower end of the batting order. His 50 in an ING Cup match last year was sensational to watch.

And yet some Victorian fans dont even rate him  He is the perfect one day player

I rate him, just wouldn't do any good at International Level.

Lewis, Wise & Denton can bowl abit also.
Hard to fit 4 quicks in the 11 when you have have 2 champion leg spinners.

Harwood > Denton, Wise
nope Wise>>Harwood>Denton
nope Wise>>Harwood>Denton
I know you love Wise, but Harwood is the better bowler as he can actually play one dayers ;) :)

Didn't know Murali and Warne played for us?
Harwood played for Australia A a couple of years back, but this is just a confidence booster for Harwood, simple as that. If he was from NSW though I bet he would get a game. If a journeyman like Clark can get a game out of nowhere...

This season:
ML Lewis - 25 @ 23.24 (31 yoa)
AB Wise - 23 @ 25.13 (27)
SM Harwood - 19 @ 26.47 (32)
GJ Denton - 21 @ 28.09 (30)
IMO:
Lewis > Wise > Harwood > Denton

Murali is an off chucker.
Not a leg spinner.

But we are talking one dayers here
Wise has an e/r of 5.15 and an average of 29 in one dayers (I took out the joke match :))

i bet the rest have played at least 3 times as many. he should be given a chance in that form of the game.
He doesnt get more chances because when he plays he gets smacked around, Harwood is a much more economical choice, Lewis is never going to be left out and Denton/Siddle are seen as better wicket takers with a bit of fiery pace, Wise is a good 4 day bowler, ********house 1 day bowler
