They don't deserve 6 tests against us in such a short space of time every 4 years. They made for a very uncompetitive summer. They lack pride in their sporting performance. That's what's different between our country and theirs, we have pride and passion, they are wimpish and play as individuals. It starts from the top. They appoint a captain who showed us he's not really up to it with the bat and he lacks the passion of a Ponting. The guys aren't behind him and it really showed. Compare this with Punter who batted the pants off him and led from the front. We have a man born to lead men, and Gilly in waiting, they don't. Though Boucher might prove a better choice. Their bowling sucks, they only have one good batter Kallis who is selfish and the rest either can't bat or boring and also selfish like Prince and Rudolph. Gibbs is inconsistent. Pollock is on his last legs. Kemp was talked up as an allrounder and did nothing. Their fielding is a shambles. They have nobody who has safe hands and their ground field sucks compared with ours. Sometimes I think it's a pity we let them back into world cricket. I hope they don't tour for a long time. I would watch a weak West Indies any day before them as at least they provide good entertainment and enjoy their cricket. I hope the Pakistanis come again soon. They should play more tests against us likewise the Indians than the bloody South Africans. What has a minnow nation such as them deserved to get such status in world cricket?
P.S. I hope I see Smith tears in tomorrow's paper. JUB JUB and I desperately hope we've broken this cocky, overrated, arrogant, non-performing man with a heart the size of a pea.

That's how I thought of Smith before this tour.

However he seems like a top bloke and doesn't seem arrogant at all.

He'll bounce back in South Africa, just you wait ;)

You may some good points.

Re Boucher, many would not be aware that only recently he was dropped from the team and under performing himself

Mmmm....who would have seriously put up a better performance? Maybe India...

England- yes, but they are here next summer...fact is, the Aussie machine still rolls on. There are few sides currently that can come close to matching it with them on Aussie soil. Even with the changingof the team, as retirements loom, it is still asolid performance from the number one Test and ODI side.

Matches with SA and NZ are goingto be fun- southern hemisphere rivalries and the like.

South Africa did not do well, but there are only one or two who are all that com[etitive with the Baggy Green

India, England and the rejuvenated Pakistan would be the only countries at the moment that could match it out with Australia at home at the moment ...

Saying that, if my beloved India doesnt find some quality bowlers and fast, we are going to be humiliated come the World Cup ...

England have major issues with their form away from home. Just look at the series in Pakistan.

We see the Pakistanies are dominating on the dust bowls of the sub-continent, but are their players up to the pace and bounce of Australian wickets?

India are not in form at all at the moment. Pathan, Dravid, Dohni and Sehwag (occasionally) are flying the flag for them. But it takes 11 men on the field not 4.

Point is thought they'd all be more competitive than South Africa who get pampered by the authorities when they're a minnow nation. We need more of India and Pakistan who only get 3 tests. We play the pea heart Proteas in 6 tests and about 10 one dayers in a short space of time.

The SA tour was way too long; 3 months for 3 tests and 8 ODI's?

Crazy; you could tell they were just over it all about half way through the one dayers.

That being said they are a shyte team.
