I dont believe we have the mid to make it this year... i like the look of west coast again... also the saints.
I look at kosi and riewoldt milne gehrig hamill defintely the best forward line in the league.. where do u thing collingwood fit in? Maybe the 8th
best?

SAINTS
C BALL HAYES DAL SANTO
HF KOSI RIEWOLDT HAMILL
FF MILNE GEHRIG XCLARKE

not bad.... if this was our team i think our supporters would be engraving COLLINGWOOD on the premiership cup!

From what i see here i dont believe we could contain these guys

I think the same could be said about the Saints backline containing our forward line when on song.
I would prefer our backline than theirs though..
Our problem would be trying to negate their midfield dominance.

Their midfield dominance stems from the same way we worked through our grand final years. But the problem is that they cant do it all the time against a very negating midfield ie sydney, us.

If stretch and josh can stay on the park for the entire year, then we are already a step in front of stkilda. Front 6's are almost identicle. Our back 6 is better. Their centre 3 are better, i believe we have the better followers in josh/stretch, bux and dids vs ackland, harvey, ball.

I rate Collingwood's forward line highly. When fit, It's the most dangerous forward line in the AFL in my opinion.
Collingwood need to inject some skill and pace into the midfield - no surprises there, but we have some enthusiastic kids climbing up the ranks. I wouldn't be surprised if Ben Davies, Dale Thomas, Julian Rowe, etc find permanent spots in our midfield over the next 2 years - even sooner.

R2 - v Adelaide, (Minor Premiers) - lost by last minute McLeod goal
R4 - v Roos, (Finalists) - lost by 3 pts, had the chance to win
R9 - v West Coast, (Runners-Up) - were 16th (1-7) vs 1st (8-0) and won!
R11 - v Geelong, (Finalists) - beat them comprehensively
R13 - v Sydney, (Premiers) - lost by 1 point in controversial finish
R14 - v Port Adelaide (reigning Premiers, Finalists) - we won!!!
R19 - v Roos (Finalists) - up by 3 goals with 3 minutes left, lost on siren!

We can match other teams with far from full strength line ups. St.Kilda are the best. Now, Collingwood will not win a premiership, but we are capable of proving we are winners. A full strength line-up, Collingwood is very solid. We have a capable Attack and Defence, where our Midfield can be on song.

Would it be fair to say that there isnt a team as dominant as the Brisbane lions anymore? i think its a fair comment. Put that together with the fact that a crappy Sydney side one the title last year, i cant see why we cant smash anyone
