another commonwealth games is upon us when we can sit back and marvel at the skill and excitement of lawn bowls and bask in the warm fuzzy glow of the british empire.
we can see our swimmers win gold medal after gold medal against hapless second rate competition, but this doesn't seem to matter cos these games always outrate the summer olympic games........perhaps people just like to see aussie winners and dont care about the standard.
personally i feel the commonwealth games has reached its use by date.
