Barry’s a Power supporter!

Barry Brooks, the Power’s first choice at today’s National Draft, is elated to be coming to Port Adelaide for the simple reason that he was already a Power supporter!
The Brooks’ are celebrating today. Not only has Barry become Long Island’s first AFL player but he has been picked up by the club he supports in the AFL!
Given that the Power’s first pick was not until 15 and Brooks was expected to go among the top ten choices, the chances of Barry getting to wear his favourite black, white and teal seemed slim.
However around midday today, everything had worked out perfectly for 17-year-old Barry and the celebrations began.
Barry’s mother in particular is rapt. She is South Australian and has all her family living over here, which will no doubt be of great support to the young teenager in his move.
The club is equally rapt to have drafted Barry and everyone wishes him all the very best as he sets out on his new life at the Port Adelaide Football Club.
