What's the story with the player sponsorship / bulldogs backyard thing?
How much was pledged?
How much has actually come through?
Have we forwarded it on to the club?
Do we have anything to show for it?
Did OS and Dry Rot change their mind and spent it all on a jelly bath with Jennifer Hawkins instead?

Scooter, It's a bit hard to work out exactly how much has been raised so far because I'm still waiting to hear from about 6 people but I know a couple of them are on holidays but I'm sure this will be OK.
I can confirm that the player sponsorship was paid to the club before Xmas so the club has received their money
Right at this moment we have fully covered the player sponsorship and whatever is left over will go towards the Bulldog Backyard packages.
I will give it until the end of next week for everyone to confirm their pledge and then pay for as many Bulldog Backyard packages as we have money for.
We can then confirm the total amount raised.
It didn't help that we had a couple of other people that are no longer associated with this site that messed around by making false pledges. It slowed the whole process down trying to weed out them out.

This must be a joke?Surely no one would do that.

No this is not a joke and I found nothing funny about it. It's a shame that it occurred and it was a disappointing reflection on what some will do.
The good news is that despite this we are a paid up player sponsor and we will be taking some Bulldog Backyard packages to further assist the club.
The day we announced the Ryan Hargrave sponsorship we had paid the full amount to the club.
That is probably one of the reasons why the CEO of the club came on here and acknowledged it.
A big well done and thank you to everyone who contributed.

Yes, one even fooled around trying to buy B&F tickets at a cut-price rate for his own site.
That's pretty lousy.

Poor form :thumbsd:
I did say that it didnt sound like her on the phone. Now that I think about it some more I reckon you might have been stooged.
Oh, a wise guy eh? Larry, Mo and I deny everything.
We'll sell you the negatives of the bath pics. (To raise funds for the player sponsorship of course!) ;)

I'm appalled. I would have thought trying to buy cut price tickets was not only diddling the sponsorship here but it is also denying the club additional funds had they actually been purchased from the club.

Strange behaviour for someone who claims to be a strong supporter of the club.
