Who in 2006 will kick more goals....
Ken McGregor or Trent Hentschel? McGregor kicked 5 goals in the intr-club match yesterday and Hentschel kicked 3.
Who will be the better goal kicker this year?

If I was a betting man - definately Hentschell........he is going to be a very difficult player to matchup on - Tall, good mark, and importantly the agility of a rover which will lose most of his opponents

If I was a betting man, I'd bet that Thomo was sum005 in a previous life. ;)

Hentschel for me.
Having said that he'd want to improve his hookfoot approach in his run up.
Kennys not the flashest kick either is he?

Hope they are neckandneck for the goalkickn medal in Rnd 22 :thumbsu:
That would see us right up there.

Trent provided he is left in the forward line for the year. If Bock or Rutten get injured, I hope Craigy moves Kenny down back and leaves Trent in the forward line. Out of all Kpp's, Trent has the potnetial to be an A class forward. Leve him there for the entire year and see how he goes.

It's a pity we don't have 2 of him becuase I love the way he plays when he goes down back.

If god forbid, Bock gets injured then I think Hentschel goes back. He suits our game plan much better than Kenny (as a CHB that is). Kenny is not an attacking CHB and considering that our game plan is built around rebound from defence, that takes away from our attacking options.

While I like Hentschel as a forward, if Bock goes down then I would definetly move Hentschel to CHB and leave Kenny as a forward. If god forbid, Rutten gets injured then I move Kenny to FB and leave Hentschel as a forward.

It's a pity we don't have a 6th kpp type player pushing for selction. I thought that this was going to be one of our weaknesses for 2006. But when you look at other team lists, most teams wouldn't have KPP depth greater than 5 players, promising untried youngsters aside. Actually most teams wouldn't have much depth past 3 kpp's.

Correct on all accounts Springy.

Mind you, we would have had that 6th KPP pushing hard for selection if Watts hadn't p issed off on us.

Lets hope that Meesen can step up and play as a key forward if required.

Don't know about a key forward at this stage, but certainly maybe a forward pocket.

The only time he looked a bit classy on Friday was when he was in the FP. He snapped a left foot goal that a rover would have been proud of and set Bernie Vince up for another.

He's certainly better as a ruckman than he showed on Friday night. In fact he played far better at the corresponding time last year with reasonable ruck work and strong marking behind play.

I don't know what was up with him on Friday but his ruckwork was terrible.

Early days yet though.

Of course he could prove he wasn't by actually contributing at least 1 more post to his own thread.
