we've all seem the replicas in stores or photos online or in the paper but now the crows have appeared in them vs norwood, what are peoples thoughts about the changes to the home jumper?

the blue sleves look a hell of a lot better to me and the blue stripe on the side didnt seem to be too bad on tv!

has the thin white line around the numbers on the back been shrunk?...the numbers seemed to stand out bolder, as if there was no outline at all.

anyway looks good and fits the "stronger" image the club wanted to meee :thumbsu:

I'd want to see them under the stronger lights of Footy Park to make a final judgement, rather than the 3 candlewatt power of Norwood Oval, but my initial impression at the game was that the yellow hoops stood out more prominently than previously. The red hoops next to them combined to give more of an orange gold effect, which was why they stood out IMO.

To be honest the blue stripe down the side couldn't have stood out too much, because the only time I was aware of it was when I was looking for it when they first came out.

Overall I think it did give a slightly stronger image.

How sub-standard is the lighting at Norwood? I was appalled.

As for the guernsey, I am not sold on the new stripe thing down the side. I don't think I like it yet.

I was appalled by the lighting too, anyway....

I barely noticed the blue strip, it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The whole guernsey, shorts and socks seemed to be a bit brighter than the old guernsey.

Gets!

Yeah it does look a lot brighter.

Same cant be said for the lights at Norwood Oval. Was pretty embarassing.

Can't have improved since the Giants folded then. :o

If players struggled to see a yellow footy coming out of the darkness, imagine a plummeting fly ball.

I've been saying for years the lights at Norwood are not up to playing league football under, their shocking. I'm hoping the new lights at Elizabeth Oval are much better, if not, then like Norwood they shouldnt be used for matches.

Guys its a bloody suburban ground. What did you expect??????

Its the standard of lighting for all the suburban ground out there. This is not AAMI stadium where the owner of the stadium can afford bright lights.

Lights are quite adequate for the suburban ground IMHO.

Have you ever played under those lights Stiffy?

I have, and while it's adequate it's not good.

Point accepted though that it is only a suburban ground. Thebby Oval was no ray of sunshine to even train on under lights.

I was really hoping they would break out the Heritage guernsey at some stage again. That is my favourite AFC strip. I reckon it looks great for an away strip.

Very astutely picked up there, Springy. A relatively short career due to reasons outside my control. No more clues, names or pack drill though, as it's totally irrelevant :)

There's actually an ex Port player who posts regularly on this board - a Crows fanatic - with a similar story to tell.

History Springy, just history.

Could have been, but chose career due to lack of real money in footy.

I had some great drinking sessions with some of the blokes on that list!! :D

As a footy club, West Torrens was a great social club!!

So the plot thickens. Hmmm, let me guess Dyertribe Mahoney, Dyertribe Fiacchi or maybe Dyertribe Granger - :D

Just of interest, why doesn't this ex-Port player support the Port power?

Just give us the initials macca ?

& while you're at it how about the name of the coach at the time ?

But there was once PAF .

One has to own up to negative parts of history & heritage as well as the positive ones we like to lay claim to. :)

I'll settle for Dyertribe Clifford, god that guy use to p##s me off something shocking when ever we played the bloody magpies. :(

Not saying dt does mind you. :)

Seriously, anonimity on the net is a precious thing.

The ex-Port player is like DT - but not DT - because he became a Crows fanatic from 1991 and stayed that way.

As I said before, his story is almost identical to mine. Played the same position too.

career before football, and never regretted it.

So, we have three new jumpers this year?

1) A slightly modified home jumper
2) One off clash jumper against Melbourne
3) New away jumper

I have yet to see any photo's of these, and the one on the AFC website today doesn't show the full jumper.

Anyone have any pictures that they could post here in this thread?
