Anyone (i know Macca would have it) got their new album? I just bought it yesterday and it has to be one of the finest metal albums i've ever heard! Who the **** is John Dolmayan!!!! Christ that guy can play!!
Anyway, it's the first decent heavy album i've heard in quite a while and i just wanted to say what a damn fine album. :D

i got it the second day it was on sale in adelaide. It is the finest album ive heard. Fantastic record. Not a bad song on it....every song is just amazing.
Ill defiantly be seeing them at the big day out - will you Hitter??

Heres a question for you all.
Who has got their first album???
I got it about it in early 2000 and it blew me away. Very good album as well, but not as good as Toxicity.

They don't really grab me, but I admit I've only heard one or two songs, and that's not really a good indication of a band's worth.... What are some good songs that showcase their talents? I will grab some off kazaa and I may yet be persuaded.

i remember being at a club a few years ago and hearing the coolest song. I had to ask the dj what it was, and he said it was System Of A Down. (it would have been right when the first album was released as i'd never heard it.) I intended to go out and buy the album that week but totally forgot to. It was only when i heard ChopSuey! the other day and thought "i know that sound". Sure enough, it was those System Of A Down guys again. so i just had to buy it. I used to listen to heavy stuff when i was younger but haven't listened to any for the past few years so that's why i just completely forgot to buy their 1st album!
I still don't know what that song was either. Maybe i'll remember it when i buy the first album tomorrow. :D

Ive heard Chop Suey and I like. Im opening Kazaa now to download some of their other stuff...
I have only heard Chop Suey.... love it.
Does anyone know the lyrics? As quite a bit of that screaming is hard to understand ;)

this band is mad!
i first heard them on a sampler i got through the roadrunner mailling list called "sweating bullets". along with systems was other bands such as spineshank, coalchamber, one minute silence, stabbing westward and incubus. all these bands hadn't released anything in australia yet.
the two best songs i think are spyders and chop suey.

How long ago was that??
Cos Coal Chamber released their debut album here in 97, Incubus in 96 and One Minute Silence has been around for a good 8 years! Spineshank released their debut in 99...along with System of a Down.

Incubus' first EP ('Enjoy Incubus') came out in 95. Their first album 'Fungus Amungus' came out in 96. Great album thier first one...its like full on porn music with heavy as hell chorus's. (listen to the song 'Deep Inside' off SCIENCE and the whole first album is like that)
It depends what One Minute Silence. Their debut came out in 98 (Available in all Colours) so its probably that.
I have 'Buy Now...Saved Later' and its one of the best cds ive known. The best rap-metal crossover album ive heard...even better than RATM. Cant get enough of this band...time to get the tshirt out i reckon!!!

Well I'm not a huge metal fan - in fact I'm not a metal fan at all, but I'm a huge fan of Chop Suey and the positive reviews of people here have convinced me to get it.
I'm thinking about getting Iowa by Slipknot as well because I love the drumming - should I get that as well?

I bought Toxicity on the weekend - sick album!!! Very impressive indeed!
