Today i personally think its gonna be hard for us to beat the Hawks as much as i hate to say it, with players such as Nathan Brown and Kayne Pettifer 2 of our best 3 Forwards not playing and unlikely to play Andrew Kellaway and Darren Gaspar 2 of our best 3 Defenders its gonna be tough.

This is what i think we will line up like

B: Jeremy Humm - Jay Schulz - Andrew Raines
HB: Brent Hartigan - Joel Bowden - Kane Johnson
C: Brett Deledio - Nathan Foley - Chris Hyde
HF: Andrew Krakouer - Adam Pattison - Patrick Bowden
F: Greg Stafford - Matthew Richardson - David Rodan
FOL: Troy Simmonds - Shane Tuck - Chris Newman
INT: Thomas Roach - Trent Knobel - Ray Hall - Richard Tambling - Matthew White - Cameron Howat

Missing from the 28 picked

Daniel Jackson
Kayne Pettifer
Darren Gaspar
Andrew Kellaway

Now ive taken Jackson and Pettifer out because of what i saw at training yesterday with Jackson not training well and Pettifer not letting the ball touch his broken left hand, Kellaway was a no show so im 50/50 on him and ive read on other Richmond Forums that Gaspar wont play.

About half way through the second quarter. The Hawks are up by 26points. Richmond really need to get a couple of quick goals before Hawthorn run away with the game.

Gee, Roughead looks good.

Boyle looks great as well. If he can fill in for Barker across half-forward we might have a working forward line this year.

Channel 10's shot clock is annoying me already (and thier obsession with it too)

The Tigers don't look that flash, a lot slower to the contest and skills are poor.Early days.
******** umpiring.

Same here I really hope this is just a trial for the NAB cup and they won't use it in the Home And Away season.

Hawks up by 26 at 1/2 time.

I don't disagree with the concept of a shot clock on the screen, but for Pete's sake it doesn't need to be that big. Have it as a little box that slides down from the scoring box if necessary, but only start it going if it has been 20 seconds already and the shot still hasn't been taken.

Halftime -

Hawks 1 - 7 - 8 - 59 Super Goal to Bateman

Tigers 0 - 5 - 3 - 33

Guerra, Hodge, Roughead, Bateman & Boyle all look good for Hawks
Deledio & Rodan look good for Tigers, but Richo doesn't
Humm & White not bad for young guys

Of course we cant win with the side we put out. Probably our 2 best defenders, best midfielder, best forward and 3rd best forward not playing.

It's irrellevant.

Richo got a free and went straight to where he was to kick form - the shot clock had gone 23 seconds before the ball got to him.

Good strategy by wallace/richo, you can't kick the ball if you havent got it yet.

Lloyd might work it out by round 10

Am I hearing things or is Silvangi saying "Ottens is getting into the game". I swear I have heard it twice. Maybe he is getting confused with Stafford or Simmonds

Three Quarter Time -

Hawks 1 - 7 - 9 - 60
Tigers 0 - 7 - 7 - 49

Game slowed down a bit. Pace may have drained both teams. Hawks kicked one point for entire quarter. Guerra and Bateman disappeared that quarter for Hawks. Hodge was quiet as well. Does either team have enough left to finish it out?

I guess Channel 9 have not made a big deal about it, so I could not see why 10 were making a big deal. But yes, you were right, particularly about Richo not having the ball

Geez...................Terry Wallet flooding is back.
Every time the tigers turn it over, they flood back in packs of 18. :thumbsd:

Hodge gets a good smother, picks it up & kicks a goal! Very nice!
Richo finally gets one to answer. Hawks by 12 points 6 minutes into final quarter.

Final -

Hawks 1 - 11 - 10 - 85
Tigers 0 - 11 - 9 - 75

Excellent final quarter. Tigers actually took lead late in the game. Williams kicked 5.1 while Richo kicked 1.4 & one OOB. Biggest difference in the game.

They started the North song at the end. Nobody joined in the chorus so they queued the Hawthorn song up. Funny stuff.

I was there. I'll hopefully find some time to do a review.

Clinton Young looks the goods.

We were undermanned and Williams was the difference.

Guerra had a very good start for you Hawks.

I was happy with the way Raines, Deledio, Hartigan, Rodan, Schulz and Tuck went today!
