AFL website says live on 9 in Melb, but 9s website says half 7
So we get Australia's funniest home videos? Fecking hell, I'm so glad 9 lost the rights.

Stiffy, if that is right, I will intensify my crusade to get sports lovers to switch from watching Ch 9 's fkg precious news service to watch Ch 7 instead.
The person responsible for programming at Vh 9 is an arrogant prick, with the attitude of public be damned.
The cricket and football are both examples of this.
On the contrary if Ch 7 are showing a tennis game they stick with it until the end.
Ch 9 think their news service is the holy of holies, not the public interest.
Hit them where it hurts most - switch to Ch 7 news service and let Ch 9 fall even further down the plughole. The news service is just as good on 7 - even better as I really like Jane Doyle.
Stuff Ch 9 and their arrogant dismissive attitude of the public.

Well if that is true it sucks!
Have always watched Channel 7 news Macca ;) can't go past Jane and Graham.
Channel 9 programs have always look a little 'tacky' to me, as if they are filmed in a shed.

www.tvguide.com.au has it on at 7:30. Lame Lame Lame channel nine
Scheduled for a midnight start here in the ACT. Be thankful that your own delay is much, much shorter!
You fellas don't know how good you've got it. In Brissy it's on at 12.30 a.m. and on Fox its on at 11.30 pm. Woopy bloody doo.

Bull********** - it's rubbish. You can't compare the televising of a Crows away game in Adelaide and the ACT. Of course it's going to be on much later in the ACT. It's pretty poor stuff by Channel 9 really.

Geez dont have a hurnia buddy. It is ******** weak but I was just pointing out that it would suck to be a crows fan in the ACT or anywhere with major delays. You will get to watch the game just a little later but not as late as some. You should be used to gettting shafted by this bunch of hacks now and they have every excuse under the sun for doing it. Heard a rumour this morning the news on nine may be getting shifted to 6:30 one of eddies brain waves apparently. Imagine what that would do for game timings.

Agree, it’s a completely ******** weak effort from channel 9 and it should be on live, none of this maximizing ratings or crappolla excuse. The game time should be moved to a much more suitable time if it starts when a news service is on or overlapping something else.
The game tomorrow night will start at 18:40 pm EDST (17:40 SA time) why didn’t the AFL arrange for the game to start in Tasmania at 19:40 pm EDST (18:40 SA time) as they knew that an SA club would be in the game (it was either us or Port Power, FFS) or have it played in the afternoon 14:10 EDST (1:10 pm SA time)
Once again it’s another example of the AFL not giving a flying ******** about SA and it footy, the (really bad C word) only want our money and people to keep on going to games, it’s really starting to ******** me off. Or am I missing something that would seem rather simple and logical to others. The AFL is retarded, complete and utter morons.
If channel 9 cannot guarantee a live feed for AFL matches or don’t want to move the news services to allow for the game to be shown live they should allow Fox Footy to show it live and go head to head on there own 90 mins delay.
With Pay TV available, TV stations such as 7, 9 and 10 have to be held accountable and made to show every single sporting game they bid for to be shown live. If they don’t pay TV should be allowed to broadcast it live and the free to air station losses out on the potential ratings. I am not suggesting that 9 should not show it but they should lose out on the ratings, as it should be shown live (it’s an away game after all)

This is an absolute disgrace by Channel Nine. They have Australia’s Funniest Home Videos on from 6:30 to 7:30, while the Crows game gets underway? Who the heck even watches that rubbish program anymore? Honestly, a Crows game away from home and it's not even being shown live into our own State? Talk about no pathetic programming.
It's great that Channel 7 are beginning to thump them in the ratings, and I hope it continues. :)

Eastern states are only 1/2 an hour ahead.
Bloody disgraceful by 9. Treating Adelaide fans with contempt.
Only morons watch that funniest home video crap and I can only hope 7 keep thrashing them in the ratings.

Yes, my mistake but the principals are still the same and the AFL is a ********ing joke.
The AFL were the ones who scheduled the game to start at 18:40 EDST in Tasmania knowing full well an SA side was going to play; unless it was going to be on Fox it would always be on delay as Ten or Nine would want to have a news service at that time. .

7.30 WA time on 9 as well
Might have to see what radio I can grab or wait and wait
Well the NAB cup is about and has always been about mostly recruiting members for the season proper.
Now we cant sell any more memberships so channel 9 dont see any point in being loyal to us and either would the AFL.So we get delayed coverage that fits in with normal programming.
Whereas Hawthorn need members and are recruiting so their fan base gets live coverage.

On your reasoning rayven, then shouldn't the game be shown live into the other states where they also have fans? Membership also includes those packages for inter-state fans / members I would have thought. It is a national game after all and you need fans not only in your 'home' state but across all of australia in order to survive.
On the ratings for Channel 9 - which are shocking for them across all of australia, why would they persist with un-funniest home videos? Last weeks ratings, well.... Interesting reading here! (http://pbl.com.au/media/pdf/2006/2006%20Aust%20Television%20Ratings%20-%20Week%207.pdf) I suppose they have to as it only made the ratings list in this State. What does that say about us?

I am not sure if it is still the case but awhile ago the VFl charged Adelaide fans entry into what is now the NAB cup, yet victorians who were members of their club did not have to pay. This is or was a similar policy to what channel 9 might be taking.
Now if they were to broadcast the game live nation wide or in other states but victoria ratings would be crap in NSW and QLD and I dont belive Hawthorn would sell to many ticketed memberships outside Victoria and thats what the NAB cup is about selling ticketed memberships

Been delayed even further here in Perth, dude. Shrek is now on at 7:30, with the Crows/Hawks match to follow.
Look on the bright side, at least you can watch the Ch10 Kang/Geel game first.
