I have played the piano(10 years), drums (1 year), bass guitar (2 years) and double bass (8 years) in my lifetime so far. Unfortunately at the moment I play none of these, though I have a go on the piano every now and then.
What instruments have/do you play?

I used to play acoustic guitar, I had a dip at drums, and I was alright on the keyboard.
Don't play anything at the moment, but if I had time I'd want to learn bass.

I can play a few songs on guitar but i wouldnt say im any good at it.
However, i am a fan of keyboards and i make my own dance music and have remixed quite a few songs from artists like Machine Head, Korn, Missy Elliot and most of all the Prodigy

Drums is my instrument of choice, and most proficiency. I have two kits, one in Australia and one here in the states, depending on which side of the globe I'm living on at that moment.
I have slowly taught myself guitar, bass, and keyboards. I could probably be a competent bassist in a band, but have otherwise mediocre skills in the guitar and keyboard department.
My future sister-in-law is an aspiring Melbourne singer/songwriter, so I've taken advantage of her digital 8-track recording console and recorded a few of my own instrumentals for fun, with myself playing all the instruments.

I play pretty much everything apart from brass or wind instruments. Which shhits me because now i'd love to be able to play trumpet, sax & trombone really well. (instant brass section!) One day hopefully. I guess i've just never owned any of them so i've never had the chance to get any good. :(

Played drums as a little tacker - taught me rhythm/timing etc
Instrument of choice is BASS baby!
Write using guitar, and enjoy playing it from time to time. Pretty good with rhythm, solo's pretty average.
Barely passable on keyboards/piano.

I play guitar. Mostly electric (and mostly Fender). I do like to noodle with accoustic six & twelve strings.
I have a bass. My approach to it tends to be like a guitarist. I use a pick and fingers rather than fingers and slap. I can play bass to most anything, but I suck at writing really good bass lines in original pieces. I'm not a bad hack at cover tunes though.
I used to have a set of electric keyboards, but never could play them. I used them primarily to work out experimental guitar progressions and ideas (these are easier to visualize on a keyboard scale IMO). I can play any chord or scale/mode on the keys, but could never ever get music to come out of it. :mad:

drums and keyboard.....hopefully our band will get off the ground soon :rolleyes: :p
Seriously learned flute for 5 years and Sax for 2 (bloody easy instrument to pick up if you've played another wind instrument).
Hardly touch either, would love to have the time to devote to them nowadays - esp my sax

Anywayz, I played viola from year 4 till half way during this year and I hate it more than any other instrument in the world now!:(

Had piano lessons for about 9 years, managed to pass exams with minimal effort. Just didn't like the material at the time. So I can muddle my way through keys. My instrument of choice these days is the guitar, and I've been playing for 5 years? 6? something like that. I can play a bit of bass, and it is actually my favourite intrument to play (in the way that it's fun because it's not actually my job). I can do basic time on drums, and like the rest of the population, did recorder in school.
Piano and Guitar. Sold our piano. Was ok at it. I'm starting guitar again in a few weeks when I finally buy one. Looks like I'll have to start playing green sleeves again. :(

at my school we have this ace music program, in yr7 you learn 6 instruments for 6 weeks, and in yr8 you choose one to learn for the year.
this year (yr8) i learnt Clarinet, and loved it, and continuing on next year.
in yr7 i learnt Clarinet, Percussion, Guitar, Viola, Trumpet and Oboe (which i couldnt play cos my fingers were too short, they wouldnt reach the holes)
out of all them i only had fun with Clarinet and Trumpet, cos they were the only ones i could play!
Have played drums 4 the last 4 years, am pretty good at them i reckon :p
own my own kit and play it whenever im home.
Also own a guitar, but im crap at it

Keyboards since I was a tacker, and guitar since about 14. Im OK on guitar, as long as they're open chords. A loose cannon with bar chords - might produce a decent 1st fret 'B' 6/10 times.
Played at The Chapel restaurant in Lilydale last night - mostly 60s and daggy 70s retro. Can't find a band that does 'Flash In The Pan' covers?? Feel free to drop in :) Confidentiality assured :D
Saxophone, guitar & drums, but over the years I have only ever kept up the guitar, as I could never afford a saxophone & the drums are too much trouble when you move a lot. :) forgot the harmonica.
I played keyboards as a kid, and have played bass since 1993 and guitar since 1997.

I have played many instruments- the one's I'm competent on are:
* Guitar
* Drums
* Bass
The one I really want to improve is the Voice, can go alright sometimes, but really want to expand the range....
Put together a studio in the backyard & hopefully once it's set up properly I can start getting productive.
