View Full Version : Chopping Chocco
If Mark Williams fails to get Port Power (sic) into the eight this year I wouldnt mind betting he will get the chop.
I dont know whether he is contracted for the 2007 AFL season and beyond or not, but contracts have been paid out before.
With another change in game plan for the second year in a row and releasing of players like Montgomery and Pickett it would seem the thinking is aimed at developing its youth. I still cannot believe they got rid of a Norm Smith medallist, even if his reputation was starting to sour.
Nothing wrong with that its just that I dont know if the Pork faithful will be patient enough to see the master plan come to fruition..
Personally,I dont reckon hes got the "coaching knack" anyhow so I hope they stay with him:D
Thoughts?
well we really dont need reply as there is a juicy thread on the port board on something similar to this, that there own faithful answer

IIRC he's contracted for another 2 years. He coached us to a flag so he's not all that bad. Craig hasn't done that yet :)
The Port threads on this board just keep on coming hey? :p :D

Or about Jericho pooing himself on the wing near your defensive 50 again. :)
True but then again thats not quite as soft as 4 team-mates holding hands ;)
All they were missing were the bloody handbags and the picture would have been complete :)

Picture of 4 Port Adelaide players holding hands at one of the training session. Its apparently all part of a "bonding" session down at Alberton :D

For further info refer my post - #194 on this topic in this thread, PAF. :D

Ah yes, vaguely recall reading something along those lines either on the Port board or TPFP.
As long as it's hands only then I suppose we can live with trying these new age ideas. :p

Scary thing is that many AFL clubs are expected to go down that path since its obviously worked for you today  :p

I notice Tredrea wasn't among them. He is obviously still not well liked by his teammates, no one would hold his hand.

Gotta pay that. That's quite clever, hehe :D

Why are we discussing 'him' on our board??? Personally, I don't care what happens to him or them down the Port.

No certainly not. :D
No attitude, just wondering what the relevance of a topic about Chocco has on our board?
I don't venture to the Port board, but do they care what happens to our coach?

Not really.
An interesting question might be to ask them whether they'd like to swap coaches though.
I wouldn't be surprised to get more than a few yesses. ;)

go to TPFP and you will find they do care, in a thread about first coach to get sacked you would be surprised about the mentions of NC

I think you should have pointed out that there was a rush to get Tredder's no 16 jumper when he moved to the number 1.

I don't think Port Power supporters are in any position to call us obsessed when one of their own uses a picture of Crows players as his avatar. ;)
Anyone else see Malthhouse quitting the Magpies after this season and Mark Williams taking over in 2007 onwards ? hasn't he always stated he'd like to coach Collingwood at some point in time ?

Nah, that's ok ... we already have a coach who whinges about other team's flooding and injuries ... ;)

I think he has given the odd throwaway line that some people ran with further than he intended in the past, but reality is he is probably waiting for them to draft a decent winger first. :D

You can understand why he would though. To use a Corporate analogy, it would be like knocking back a job at the publishing company Random House Inc. to continue working at Lenny's Adult Book Shop.
