View Full Version : 2 in a row
Can the Crows do 2 in a row, can we win the NAB cup (we are already half way their going into the Semi Finals vs Melbourne) and could we go all the way to winning the premiership, it is very possible. I really like our chances in the NAB cup, but what a game next friday night will be, The Crows vs Melbourne, will we See McLeod vs Davey again?

I am pretty confident we'll win the NAB Cup now, with the 2 remaining fixtures probably to be played at AAMI Stadium and there's not overly good opposition left in it but....very very early to be talking about doing the double.
The season hasn't even started yet, no real injuries have been incurred and no major problems have arisen. Get back to me when September starts and we'll start assessing our chances of doing the double.

The crows have as good a chance of any of the remaining teams. Although the prize money is good, an injury free campaign is what I would be looking at if I was a crows supporter from now on.

Never mind McLeod v Davey ... how about Pickett v Beg... oh yeah, that can't happen. Who else can Byron line up? ;)

The Melbourne Football Club are a very formidable football side and simply putting it will be no push over, the 22 that take the field will have to play very well to win. They have a very stable forward line as well as an exceptional midfield that can rival ours. The injury to Rivers will limit their defensive potency but still have back 6 that can win an AFL premiership.
Melbourne are very good and I hope the boys down at West Lakes don’t have your line of thinking as if they do we will get rolled.

Let see how the next 22 weeks go

I am sure he'll have someone lined up, maybe you should get choco to come on the field when they play Port at AAMI :)

I am sure Thug (Byron) will have his eagle eyes open for an opportunity to line an unsuspecting player up

I wouldnt be very confident of this after the hawthorn game. Hawthorn are one of the worst sides in the comp yet they almost managed to win and they kept you guys scoreless for 2 quarters in a very boring contest.
You still have a poor forward line.
The flooding style of game is very demanding on players and will see your list tired & worn out by the end of the season.
Other coaches are now studying the crows tactics and working out how to beat you. This was evidenced in the 50odd minutes when you couldnt get a score.
Rutten was outmarked easily by a couple of first year players.(second year blues.)
Far too early to be making these predictions of glory.

Yep, agreed, NAB cup = much, much less than a single premiership season game.

The way they are talking here in Geelong today about the GFC is dumbfounding they have already spent the $220,000 winner's cheque for the pre-season winner:confused:

Yeh, not surprising, theyre always blowing their bolt prematurely.
They would have to be some sort of chance though. A semi against the Fredos in Melbourne is a pretty safe bet IMO. Then they will play either us of the Dees, probably in Melbourne again. Yep, theyre a chance, no doubt.
