Ah, one of my dad's favourite comedies so I caught it when I was quite young. I was really confused about why the British spies and the rest of the Frenchies couldn't understand each other even though they both spoke 'English'!

Great show - especially if you've watched a lot of serious WW2 resistance type shows (eg The Secret Army) and movies

Last year there was talk of 'allo 'allo being released on DVD, but I haven't heard anything for a few months. I was really looking forward to seeing them again as it was one of my favourite shows as a kid.

It is. They've been advertising it on Foxtel. Pretty sure it's being released by Time Life and therefore (putting on deep announcers voice) "Isn't available in stores."

Yeah was about to mention that...saw ads for it during the GMA ad breaks when I caught it last year. I assumed that since TIME life were releasing it it would be a pretty crap show, looked very unfunny from the promos.

It's gotten a retail release in the UK so I'm sure we'll be seeing it when the TimeLife deal runs out.
