Shame to hear that really it appears that sides in the bush are starting to struggle more and more to field sides each year , how long before the reserves become a thing of the past .
Cant be all that bad for Hay surely??
They have won 2 of the 4 games they have played?
atleast moula could still put a full side out each week...heard hays last reserves game for the season was on the weekend..
I hope your not boasting about this roves, if you are you are a complete dead shit. Out of all the clubs, Moula should realise what it is like to be on the wrong end of some floggings. Wake up to yourself:thumbsd:

for the people that know young Harry Lahy, just wondering how you think he will go coming back this year? was there talent there or not? a bloody tough thing for such a young kid at the age of 14 to go through.. hes got alot ahead of him.
he will struggle coming back froma reco at the age of 14.. a very bad injury to have at his age as afl clubs wont take notice of him as much, hes a big boy though for his age and yes there was heaps of talent there!!

I'd say this is the most even it has been for a long while, appears that Moul has improved out of site but were doing well at times last year, must have excellent recruits as well as the talent they have out there. Ultima down a bit from usual seem to be struggling a bit, Hay having a bad trot are usually mid range, Quamby about same as last year Wakool beginning to stress and the others around where they usually are, back to thew question yep most even its been for a long time

you can't compare Harrie's game to his fathers umpiring, so don't try..when you pull out a whistle and give it a go you can start witht he criticisms of umpires. how many games have you seen Harrie play? was it the game last week, his first game back? why would Jamie Macri and the NSW selectors select him in their teams if he's too 'lazy' and soft...? or is it his good looks that gets him into those teams?
maybe you've played on him and your a bit jealous cause you could never beat him so you think this would be an appropriate time and place to give him a bit back. haha, fair. he was carving it up in grnl u17's

This is a disgrace by Wakool printing this in the record, if they still have an issue it should be taken through the correct channel's. If they haqve done that and no action has been taken then the matter is over and they need to move on. Using a public forum to bag the VCFL, the league and Wandella is appauling and I think Wakool should be fined heavily for it.
From all reports the incident on Ginger was right in front of the umpire and no action was taken so you would suggest the umpire thought it was fine and the contact must have been incidental. Just because of the extent of the injury doesn't mean it was outside the rules of the game. It was an unfortunate incident, end of story.
As for the racial abuse, yes it's not good for the game but it is something that should be handled between Wandella, Wakool and the league, not in the record.
For Wakool to be crying about racial abuse is hypocrisy of the highest order. It isn't needed in the game that's for sure but there has been things said by Wakool people directed at Indigenous players that are degrading soley on their skin colour. Perhaps it is just a ploy to deflect attention away from their performances on the field. :thumbsd:

What happened to Nully at the weekend?? How about giving Wandella a little credit. Wandella ended up in front at the final siren and in a tight contest befitting a finals match. They should have maybe won by more. Wandella ended up on 11.18 (84) while Nully kicked 12.7 (81).
With Morris to come back into the side and a winnable game coming up, with the prospect of some percentage. It is starting to look alright for the Bombers. Only early though.
P.S- Please place that result squarely up your skirts Gastev, Roves and Sanchez!

Here is a list of the blokes (or birds) representing your forum in the Bigfooty Rregional Leagues Fantasy Football League (BRLFFFL) (http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=322536)
The four teams competing are the the Central Sharks (http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320213&page=6), Donkey Floggers (http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320211&page=8), the North-Eastern Wolves (http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320215&page=6) and the Western Wallabies (http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320214&page=13).
These folks are representing you lot at the liest level, and you all should be proud of their efforts. Many big leagues (Ballarat, West Gippsland La Trobe, Eastern FL, THE WHOLE OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA!) aren't represented at all, so these guys are making a hefty imprint on the virtual footballing community!! Maybe a quick visit to their match threads to talk 'em up and can their opponents wouldn't be out of order?
(If you are on this list, and there is a x in front of your name, this means you are yet to even read the private message I sent about picking a guernsey number. It means you probably aren't aware of the season in progress, and your club needs you!)

What you say is true, Vet, but teams do have bad days too. Wandella were very good, and on the whole they played the conditions better and deserved to win. But I thought nully did a good job of playing themselves out of it by slow and inefficient movement of the footy - which is something that you don't normally see from nully - be it from wandella's pressure or an off day. Wandella are great around stoppages and cleared the ball effectively all day, and did so far more often than nully.
You would have been glad to see the last quarter: cracker, wasn't it?
Appin Vet
23 May 2007, 17:14
Yes, the last quarter was a blinder. Any team could have won it. As with the slow ball movement from the Nully boys, you don't normally see it. So the Bombers must have played 1-on-1 accountable footy. To have the Nully team haphazard with the ball is a definite win for Chum and the boys.
The sense of the occasion should have anybody wearing those particular jumpers leaping out of their skin. So I don't think it was Nully having a bad day. They would've been pumped up let me tell you. Any win against Nully is certainly well celebrated, as we see you guys as big rivals (along with Murrabit). Having played in many important games in your short stay in the league. A bit if history here.
Looking forward to the return clash out at Nully, where I'm sure it will be another ball biter.

Very tru mate, a win against nully is well worth the celebration!! Nully do tend to muck around with the ball at times, then @ others play direct footy, which brings them more success. Wandella seem to have had the upper hand against Nully @ wandella since the beginning of the comp? Do wandella play the hill that much betta?? How long will it be b4 we see the return of Tony Doran 2 the senior team does anyone think?? Surely has to be knockin on the door?? Nully coming off a loss an all?? Is towelling up every1 in the Magoo's??

Meehan can you give us an injury report on the Hawks??
I think Mehan is hiding after the losses. My contact at Wakool said the follow are either unavailable yet or injured ATM. Some playing but only due to player shortage.
Injured - Carroll, Kearney, Harrison, Lahy, Harvey, Whelan, Graham, Laursen, Burmeister, Lowry
To return Beattie, Perkins, Wheatley, Thorpe and two new players from Melbourne. Some of these I thought had gone elsewere or retired. Will be interesting to see if they do play or just a big porky from my mate.
Will be up there this weekend to see how they go against Murrabit, with 3/4 of a team out or injury clouded might be in trouble again.

i agree with young aaron jones heading into politics a very well groomed and intellectual looking young man but find it a little far fetch of the young lad to be the favourite for the league medal...
GASTEV GOES BANG
24 May 2007, 09:54
tips everyone shapes up to be a another bumper round in the GRFL...
Nully overuse the ball, but release themselves with hard running are very good at finding space if they can find the happy median of chip and charge and direct footy they will be very hard to beat... Macorna well the lucky dip of the comp... cant see nully losing this one nully by 35pts
Wakool have something to prove with several injuries to key player this looks to be the biggest game of there year... will they show character??
Murrabit in my eyes are the best in the comp and would have to be favourites at this early stage strong bodies through the centre line makes it hard for lightly built midfields to win the stoppages, wakool may match them in this area it all depends on who plays and who doesn't.. Murrabit by 9pts
Hay are in the desperate need of some depth and will find it extremely hard to counter attack the running game of wandella, wandella are a very hard running side and are very solid over the ball... Wandella by 135pts
And ofcourse the most important game for both teams seasons this game might well construct the path to heartbreak or glory for both these clubs ofcourse i haven't seen Quamby yet but i'm sure choppers got them pumped.
Pryors men have to play better footy than they did last week in the first half i feel if we were playing a better side it would of been a disaster... Moula have a quick counterattacking game and can sweep the ball down the ground in a blink of an eye.. direct long footy is needed to win this game... Moula by 20pts.... Signing off GASTEV GOES BANG!

tips everyone shapes up to be a another bumper round in the GRFL...
Murrabit by 9pts

alright gents tips for the week, in what is a good week of games in the grfl.
Nully v Macorna - Nully should be far too strong for Macorna. Nully 68 points.
Hay v Wandella - Wandella will defeat Hay. I get the feeling this will be by a considerable margin. Wandella 75 points.(generous)
Wakool v Murribit - Nearly the game of the round, should be game of the round, but isnt. Hard game to pick. Wakool out of sorts, Murribit doing well. Murribit will win by 34 points, although i wont be at all surprised if Wakool get up.
And finally what is the game of the round,
Quamby v Moula - The Swans must attack the ball and man with the ball very hard. If we see Moula be desperate we will see them defeat Quamby. Bit early saying this is the make or break game for both teams. Moula v Wandella, 2nd time around, is make or break friends. Moula 19 points.
Good luck all.

Are Wandella the real deal, or did they just play well on the weekend? And what about Macorna? Done by 25goals one week, knock off the reigning premiers the next, where are they at?

Trying to cover ya a*se early footy tripper??? no disrespect to Danny, but if nully are banking on him being a reason they would lose a senior game of footy, they obviously have issues..

can anyone tell me how the game predictions read in the northern times this week?? Last week they picked moula to win by just 3 goals and strolled our way to a 150 point victory thats some expert analysis isnt it???... have any of them got any idea of the league???
