[quote=iamfooty]Wakool will challenge anybody. Hay's early win over them could be more valuable than they first thought....especially after they smashed Wandella...

Mine are -- Ultima, Hay, Nullawil, Murrabit

Roughy: Macorna is a real rough one..... not taking bets on Nulli unfortunatly :)

Match of the round. My gut says Wandella but head says
Ultima: 2 wins is 2 wins. A win on Sat and they're 1/4 way to finals.
Hay: +6 or 7 players at home.
Nully: by 8 goals
Royal Blues: Write them off Catter at your own peril. Do like your attempt at a roughy for the round though.

Happydayz, can you give us the latest mail on any injurys this week? There has been a bit of discussion surrounding the Saints
Also Im far from writing off the boys from murrabit, all I was saying was the if Moula can play a solid 4 quarters anything possible.
If I really had to pick a roughie I would go for Macorna. Home game for them and if Nulli plays the way they did for 3/4 last week, the Tigers could be sending Nulli home without the points. But this is a real roughy and would not read to far into it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an open question: Do you believe that Paul Jones is getting any repect from his players? From all reports it seems that the players, whilst on the field, aren't giving him much respect on the field. Players whe re apparantly swearing at him and he was swearing back at them.
Any thoughts?

Also i repeat. Nully by 8 goals.:thumbsu:

Also can 'you Other Tools' please get off young O'Tool's back. Sounds like the kid has had one average game and you can't wait to cut him down to size. Shame shame shame.:thumbsd:

never heard of him but if he's any good... why is he playing on a forward flank? with pace and skill, shouldn't he be on the ball?

Ultima just over Wandella, should be a great contest.

Hay over Quamby, a few inclusions will help Hay at Hay. (cant believe everything read on big footy ie injuries etc)

Nully over Macorna, Nully will be a force this year. (macorna definately big improvers

Murrabit easily over Moula. (I think they only got that close to nully cause nully let them, look at the final scores everybody) hope it is not true about moulas on field bickering, they were definately heading in the right direction.

its the old saying mate, champion team will beat a team of champions. many examples have proved this in the past. balranald in the cmfl last year being one. it takes more than just 10 players to win a game.... looks like they should've bought some 2's players aswell as they only have the bare minimum. hopefully they will fold within 5 years and nullawil, wandella and ultima all follow

Without these four teams there is no league so your great team can play intra-club matches all year and take home the poo-pushers Cup. Nullawill, Wandella and Ultima are full of local home-grown talent and if Wakool need to go and buy ten players to compete than good luck to them. The league might be stronger for it. With any luck DEAMLY'S crappy posts will fold first.:thumbsu:

I remember Urquhart from a practice game I watched between Old Xav's and SKOBS a couple of years ago. Absolutely tore the game apart, very fast for a taller player. Slick skills too. Never played at Old Xavs again, though, even though I heard they chased him pretty hard. Should be a very handy addition for Nullawil if he keeps his aggression under control

Hay: It seems that Hay would probably have the biggest side in regards to size. If they can make sure they can keep the bestt 22 on the field who knows what will happen

Quamby: The real surprise packets so far. There was alot of hard recruiting done by Demeria over the preseason and it seems that it wil pay off. Nick Dillon has been the stand out.

Nulli: On top of the ladder after three rounds and should have been 3-0 but was unlucky against the blues. Real tester against Hay this week. Should be clearer by 6 O'Clock of Sat

Ultima: Are they going to be the real deal. A couple of lack luster peformances. Do believe though that they have the list to improve i.e Condelly's, Lawry, Aitken ect.

Wakool: With all the hype over the past couple of months you would have thought that they one the cup already. It seems Shane Harvey is not having the impact we all thought.

The Blues: Hards to say yet, but maby they will come back to the pack, depends if Henry can fire and bag a couple of big ones.

Swans:.....Well...improving. A long way to go.

Well both. I hope I didn't sound like the big man from hay and the Gaurdian to much. Also to stop reading Deamly crap everyone should put him on you ignore list. Just a thought

:thumbsu: We are 3 rounds into the year and their has been alot of discussion on the forms of a number of teams. Post a reply with your thoughts!

Early days yet Catter is'nt there 8 teams though. This round might tell more.:thumbsu:

Can anyone fill me in on the Murrabit goss... Know a few people up there and haven't heard much yet. Is Bradley Wren still running around??
The blueboys are going along nicely at the moment, coach Josh Bray has them very well drilled and they will be prominant come finals time once again. A couple of last years premiership players may also be returning mid year, strengthening their list further. Brad Wren is as slippery as ever, although his nose still gets in the way at times.;)

Tigers and Bombers no mentions ?

Macorna: Is the big question is are they playing with their full list yet. They are sitting at 0-3 but if they can get their best out it can turn around. They have the coach coming back in the next couple of weeks so he will be able to show his presence around the ground. Sydney Swans ring any bells boys. The tigers should improve we will wait and see

Wandella: After a towl up in their first game against wakool, wandella shown last week what they are worth beating a highly fancied Ultima. They ahve a chance to make back to back wind against a improving Quamby. If the likes of Chamberlian and Morris keep up their good form anything is possible for the bombers. It will be interesting to see how the bombers play away this week. Maybe Wakool was a hiccup dont know yet

great review catter. what would be your end of home and away ladder:
for mine it would be,

murrabit
nully
wandella
ultima
hay
wakool
quamby
macorna
moula

murrabit, are a great side who should finish up there.
nully, are always good on there day and have some real matchwinners.
wandella, are always young and full of run.
ultima, have lost a few big names, but always work well as a team.
hay, big and strong, always tough at home.
wakool, full of new recruits, but may take time to gel.
quamby, also recruited well, but not as many big names.
macorna, seem to have a few out early, may struggle against top sides.
moula, rebuilding, but in need of more depth.
really anyone down to about wakool, could have a real crack at the flag if they play finals. finals is a completely different ball game. it is great to see a relatively even competition this year.:thumbsu:

once again good to see some footy talk.
after 3 rounds it is shaping up as a very even year, and every win, will be very important by seasons end.

I look at it in parts- top bracket
Nullawil- i think there best 6 players are all good matchwinners
Wakool- If the quality of players is true and they can gel will be very hard to beat

Then the next bracket i have
Murrabit- cant beat a champion team
Wandella- always going to be a force, a win over ultima very important
Hay- 8 home games- could be enough to get in with such an even comp

Then next bracket i have- i dont think these two should be left out of finals chances this early, only posting as i see it now.
Ultima- experienced team, alot said on here about them but have the past record to not be discarded-Wakool this week, will be good to hear bout how the recruiting has gone at wakool next week.
Quamby- Much hype surrounded them, 2-1, big test will be this week against wandella

Then Macorna- losses to Ultima and Quamby really put them out of the race
Moulamein- can only see things getting worse for rocket.

Wakool vs Ultima this is the make or break game for the much talked about wakool (money bags) football club.If they lose to ultima this week they may as well stop paying anyone and save some money,Rhumour has it that shane harvey and his crew turn up on saturday mornings go through the motions for 2 hours, then have a shower, collect there cash and head off back to melbourne. This bunch of theives should be made to stay on saturday nights and help out with junior clubs,to collect there money and leave straight away proves that they have no interest or passion in the brown and gold and simply endure a 4hour trip up to collect some easy cash.
Pull your heads in you theives and start getting a kick and dominating especially you harvey. You should be getting 40+ touches a game averaging 5 or 6 goals a game and winning games off your own boot.
Otherwise if you dont and The wakool football club dont win this years flag, its the biggest waste of money in the history of country football.

Nice one Madpie. If this is true then it just goes to show the character of the blokes in question. Possibly a reason why Harvey is playing in the middle of nowhere and not in the AFL. Then again, you don't know what the arrangement is with the club, they might be happy he just pull the boots on. Having said that they still must have a conscience.

yesterday i watched an absolute seasaw battle between ultima and wakool. ultima broke away in the first quarter, with wakool fighting back in the second to be a couple down at half time. Ultima again surged in the third, before a huge fightback by wakool in the last saw wakool level and then kick truly to be a goal in front with only minutes left. Ultima the goaled to level, followed by a point to wakool, putting them back in the lead. a last ditch effort by ultima to push forward ended with a rushed snap just missing the goals/points and running out of bounds on the siren. it was fantastic to see how tight the league has come. it will be a real battle for every team to push for the finals, with each week being a big game. anyone else have any thoughts.

unfortunately for the ultima boys the points didn't go there way, ultima lost there ruckmen to injury early, which i think was telling late into the game as it left ultima unable to keep their ruckmen rotating to combat wakool's big fellas. another injury to an ultima defender, saw ultima a little undermanned going into the last, but still maintaining a healthy lead. wakool's coach, along with harvey and the likes stepped up a gear and got alot of the ball in the last quarter swinging the momentumt in what looked like a tough tiring game. all in all a very even battle.:thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu:
