ha ha ha. I don't think it'll be an issue when the season proper starts though as I can't really see batchelor cracking a game.

Thats a good one. However we have been carrying at least one bloodnut in the side for decades - often 2. Batch is the latest in a long line.

If I trace it back it seems like the bloodnut blood line has evolved like this...

Batch - yet to crack a senior game
Linga
McGrath
Paul Lindsay - 1 or 2 games in 99 - 2000 (BTW Still playing & doing well with WWT in SANFL)
Glenn Kilpatrick - check his photo on 100 game cats at GFC.com.au
Stoneham
Hickmont
Bourke
Bruns
Forrsman
Scratcher Neale
Ian Hampshire

That puts us back to the late 60's. I hope I've missed some - please add any others.

A Cat team without an ugly step child doesn't seem right.

BTW Lingas Strawberry Blonde attempt isn't fooling anyone

Add John Mossop and Glen Middlemiss, FWIW there is no 'e' at the end of Robert 'Scratcher' Neal.

Robert 'Scratcher' Neal
He played in the 80's
Was nicknamed Scratcher because his hair looked like the strip on a matchbox that you scratch the matchstick against to light it
