I usually don't mind his commentary, but during this South African series his bias is unbelievable. He really embarrassed himself in the closing stages of this mornings game.

I wonder if he feels he needs to do this given the audience would be mainly South Africans?

I find him to be bias at the best of times , but you have to multiply it by 100 when he is overseas . This morning was terrible .

I noticed the same thing when they were playing in Australia. I just wasn't sure if it was me just being biased myself, or the fact that he sounds like he really despises the Australian team. Seem to keep making them out to be monsters. :D

Always very bias, but adds something to the commentry in his own way. Wouldn't be an Aussie summer without Tony.

He is more biased over there and he couldn't even get the score right at the end, he said we only had 18 balls to score our 20 odd from when it was 28. He was over excited. He kept saying if it's a tie then RSA win the series when a tie seemed unlikely anyway. And the funny thing is that that the home South African commentators aren't really that biased and seem quite rational next to him.

I didn't understand his line of thinking, when IF the game was tied and the Aussies won game 5, the series would be tied at 2-2. Unless he's quoting some bull******** home soil rule that I'm unaware of.

All a moot point for the moment.

He was irrational and letting it all hang out. Wonder what Barry Richards thinks, he seems to be fair-minded.

i'm guessin that would've been the dude who used to throw pies, pat symcox. the others like haysman and donald seem ok.

one thing that did surprise me during grieg's commentary is that he said he'd like the series to be alive for the last one dayer.

Greig when Lee was getting smacked by Pollock: 'I once had 5 fours in a row hit off my bowling by an Australian, I take pleasure out of seeing it done to an Australian'

Hookesy .... you bloody legend.

Ironically, he initially said Australia would keep the series alive with a draw then changed his mind

Worse than his bias are the inaccuracies. The call in the earlier game of Brad Hogg's catch where he got all excited for a minute or two before saying 'who was that out there'

I hear that he was referring to a Dippie Boetanaar in the South African team.
