does anyone know if there is a website that has cumulative MOTM stats for players, rather than going to cricinfo and looking at scorecards and manually adding them all up?
Without knowing them i'd imagine Symonds (of the current players) would be leading it for us in ODI post world-cup after adding yet another one to his cabinet yesterday. Gilly probably would be following quite close.
Test matches would be interesting to see who would be leading it for us. Over time Warne and McGrath (of the current players) would be the likely ones after playing for so long.

sometimes these type of stats are misleading.
we may lose and someone may dominate and be our best player but not man of the match for example. katich has scored a ton and no man of the match for example as well, thats rare. what amazes me is that these stats make hussey look ordinary. he averages 78 at a strike rate of 96.

Yeah thats true. In another sort of way they are kind of like Brownlow Votes and the subjectivity that come with them imo.
Obviously there are other indicators of how good a player is (eg. avergs ...), however to win a MOTM award you must have done, at the very least, something good.

yes, very true. but in hussey's case he can really only get man of the match if we are 5/50 or something and someone hangs around with him while he bats for 30 odd overs. brownlow votes are different as all 18-22 players or at least a core 14 or 15 get a decent amount of game time each, whereas the likes of hussey may not even bat in some matches. i guess looking at it on the other side of the coin hussey won odi player of the year (taken off symonds) and must have got a few 2 voters or 3 votes in games we lost.

Interesting website that.
In 1996/97 Pakistan had a 14 yr old in their test and oneday squad!?

What does that say about Katich? He's simply not a matchwinner, just a solid player.

Yeah, that was Hasan Raza...is he still around the Pakistan squad these days? Remember Afridi debuted at 15 and made the worlds fastest ODI ton at 16.

yeah Raza was around the fringes the last time i saw him play. Think from memory it was against England or someone in the last 6-8 months.

15 MOTM awards for Kallis in test matches? For someone who's got a reputation for a selfish batsmen, thats a fair achievement with only Akram and Warnie being ahead of him.
