I thought Egan did a great job on Pavlich. Although Pav took quite a few marks a lot of them were up the ground. Egan had his measure when it was inside the 50m arc. I enjoyed every mark he took when he out bustled Pavlich.

Tenace saw a lot of the ball and was good for the first hald but his disposal really let him down. Too often it missed it's target either turning the ball over or putting his team mate under pressure, very remeniscient of David Clarke. It was however good to see him finding himself in the right position to get the ball.

Charlie.... Throughout this pre-season cup he really seems to try hard but he's never going to make it at CHF unless he changes how he plays. His biggest problem is that he goes to ground far too often, without the ball, allowing his opponent to run off him, contest over, and he gives away too many free kicks. Granted the disposal to him could be a little better but then I don't recall Pavlich going to ground tonight. Tredrea or Reiwoldt rarely do it when they play. He also doesn't have the hands that the other 3 have and I think it says a lot that Milburn can play better at that position than Charlie, like Dasher did in the 4th quarter tonight. I hope Charlie takes note of Prismall's(I think it was him) goal in the 2nd quarter. Fantastic trap on his knees then up and kicking within 2-3 seconds.

Is anyone teaching Blake how to ruck? Sandliands killed him tonight and the only effect Blake had at the centre bounce was to give away a couple of free kicks. Admittedly Sandilands had the height and weight in his favour but that means, you gotta jump Blake. He did do a couple of things in the last quarter but generally seems to misjudge the pace of the game.

What can you say about Enright, Corey and Milburn? They were the guys who stood up and won the game for us. Brilliant last term. Anyway that's just a few of my thoughts of the game.

Tenaces long kicks were quite good, otherwise his dispoasl was questionable. he is a good kick though so lets hope it was an off night. Hes been good the last 2 weeks.

Agree on Charlie going to ground too much. Something he really needs to fix.

you have got to be joking me that scarlett was in our top five he hardly did a thing... every1 just thinks who played well o scarlett but he hardly did anything.. some1 like slade/prismall who played a blinders should be way ahead of scarlett. Slade looks like he could be a great back pocket a few times he just threw in the punch where many other players would of gave up.. slade has skills and gives us great run of half back... prismall played really well and plays like kelly he is a great tackler.. will b intertesting to see whether he can crack a game this year into the midfield
