Sorry if there is another thread about him but I though he was excellent the other night and is certainly a player who could step up and play a fair bit of senior football for you this year. Could he be in your best 22?
Could he be in your best 22?
He's not in the best 22 yet,but he could be a handy fill in if a midfielder is out injured. He should play somes senior footy this year.
We've upgraded to a better #32 named Brent. :D
Certainly loved his game on the weekend.
I can foresee a permanent position for him in the midfield in 2007 and beyond.

He'll be one of the only one looking forward to the retirement of Riccardi :)

Brent will be a player, watched alot of him while he was playing for Jets and is determined as hell.
Watch out for his younger brother Rhyce, a CHF/HFF with great hands.

Thought there were some great signs for him in the past two weeks. That pickup and goal was sensational. He seems to be a very well-balanced player - skill, hardness and nouse. I really like his style and think he's got a big future. 10-12 games for him this season would be perfect.

The only question id raise after seeing him play about 10 VFL games last year would be the amount of ball he gets during the game. Other than that I really like the way he plays.

I don't think the step up from VFL to AFL is very big for Prismall as it is for other players. His performances won't differ much between the two levels as his strengths won't make him a standout in the VFL.
Take Enright for example. When he is injured (regularly) and comes back via the VFL he will tear it up with 30-40 posessions because his size, athleticism, ball winning and overhead abilities are miles above anything else in the VFL.
Prismall needs AFL time to improve and hopefully he gets his fair share this year.

Been thinking a little on Prismall ,to squeeze into our 22 with our solid group of mids he bring a little of something different to the table.
What does our midfield lack? .
Speed. No not his biggest assest although I didnt really see him as slow and I get this fealing that his reaction speed will only increase as he get used to the level.
Goals. This to me seems could be something he could add. The other night he showed that he was capable in play and on set shots. If he can continue to get shots at goal, with his kicking skills he will add to the score board.
While Moloney had good penetration on his kicking Im not sure he had the feel of a Travis johnstone with his passes. Prismall may get to somewhere this level although I cant see him bringing the phyisical pressure that the old 32 brought to the group

Prismall's composure under pressure was excellent against Freo, when kicking for goal. I would agree that he could use an extra yard of pace, but that could just be a season or two away. Who knows, Brent P may discover that he has the beast within just like Brent M.
Wouldnt say hes in our best 22 just yet but will be very good player. Play with his brother now whos also very good. Brent will play quite a few games for the cats this year, and I'd expect him to make his debut come round 1.

Showed enough to me against Freo that he'll become a pretty good player at least.

Future Star:thumbsu:
I wouldn't be surprised if he played a bit this year and finished very well in the Rising Star.

damn...that would be good to see. Oh well we'll win.
Been a bit of a fan since seeing him in the U/18's. Very neat skills but not a huge accumulator of possessions, mainly quality not quantity. Compliments our midfield well with his ability to go forward and kick a goal.
Depending on injuries etc. should get a few senior births this year but still in the development stage.
From what i have seen look's like being a pretty handy player but would question him developing into an elite m/f.
