I also believe the 89 GF was one of , if not the most exciting to watch .....from a team perspective the 79 is my favorite

Surely 2002 was better than 2005? 2005 was close but very boring for 80% of the match, whilst 2002 was higher scoring but swayed either way for the whole match and had awesome individual performances.

Ive got most of those on tape (well, not 1958), so from what I've seen, in order:

1967 - The best standard Grand Final of all time. Thrilling, controversial, spectacular. It had it all. Number one.

1970 - The most famous of all time. Also the most amazing, due to the comeback.

1989 - High scoring, exciting. However, Geelong were never "really" going to win, so it goes down to number 3.

1966 - The most tense Grand Final of all time. Fairytale finish. Tight, thrilling game.

1972 - It was one-sided, sure, but what a scoreline. 177-150. The second quarter has to be seen to be believed.

1984 - 5 goals to three-quarter time then 9 in the last term for the Bombers. Emotional, exciting.

1979 - A scrap, but a thrilling scrap.

2005 - low scoring, thrilling slog. Lat quarter reminiscent of 1966, especially match saving mark at finish.

1977 - The last quarter made it. Until then, it was pretty average game.

1997 - yeah good game, but the Crows won by 31 points. Doesn't deserve mentioning with the others.

1958 - Anecdotal evidence suggests a famous game but not a particularly good game. Pies won relatively easily, after roughing the Demons up. Not famous for the "football"

I wanted to vote for St Kilda's 1966 win, because Collingwood lost by a point. Why isn't there the 1983 Grand Final, one of the greatest. I voted for the 1989 Grand Final.
