It's official, "Mercs" signed on the dotted line early last week. As a result of him travelling to Germany for the Soccer World Cup mid way through the season, Mercuri is avalible for the first 7 games, and the last 3 of the regular season and finals (if we make them).

So much for KD going on about playing the kids. They have done what every other club does if they can - recruit the best possible players. The fact is the kids only play if there is nothing better.

Actually if you had a chance to read the original article in the "Hulme Leader Newspaper", it states that he has a desire to play alongside life-long mate Marcus Barclay.
And if you have a chance to see us play this year I can guarantee you that 95% of the players are kids.
Players like McVeigh, Liparota, Scherian, Semmens, Crook, Allport, Blumfield, McAlister, Rogers, just to name a few are all under 23.
Plus when players like Mercuri want to play at your club you're not going to turn them away.
F.Y.I. - The kids play when you want to build a stable future for your club.

Gee i really thought you were making it up till i read it on there website.
Big pick up for a div 2 side. Along with Pappa, Martin and Verall from Eltham - early tip for the flag. Airport people will know how good Pappa is, Mick martin is a gun and will dominate the division having done very well in DVFL div 1 for 3 or 4 years. Verall didnt play a lot at Eltham ( due to broken jaw) but I think he can play a bit. All big losses for Eltham.
