Frankston look the goods this year.

Any injuries? Edwards looks like a great pick up.

Yeah, they are looking good Frankston.. Their strong recruiting is really paying dividends. Apart from the big win in the seniors, their reserves also posted a very sizeable win.. which has after recent years of limited depth in their list, they look set for a great season.

Mind you it was Port Melbournes first Practice match (excluding the intra-club), and the side was still a fair way of full strength, with a lot players missing... The reserves went in with no bench, and the senior game included players who had already played the entire reserves match.

Still, Frankston looked bloody good, and they will go far this year.

For Port... I am not overly concerned by the result. With so many players still to come back over the next few weeks I wouldn't expect too much until we play Williamstown at Port in the last week of Practice matches. I just hate the Dolphins having bragging rights so early in the season!

The Borough's play the Scorpions out at Casey Fields on Saturday.

I went down and watched and boy does he look good. Doesn't look at all out of place with the big boys. Got plenty of touches and laid some very solid tackles.

Darren Mizzi looks very promising for the dolphins this season, his work rate and run was superb, but i was especially pleased with the number of clearances he got.

Look out for Andrew Borrie to make a senior appearance in the not too distant future. Got injured in the intra-club match, however im not sure how far off a return he is.

Good win for the Dolphins, sure its only the Pre-season but a Win against a great club like Port is always a good thing.

How did Stevie Lawrence play. Did Luke Cotchett play and if so how did he go.

Just to let everyone know Tasmania had a strong win over North Ballarat. North Ballarat had a number of injuries to their North Melbourne players Callum Urch and Andrew Swallow, while Tasmania's Joel Perry and Chad Jones suffered niggling injuries.
For the winners Ian Callinan, Matthew Gaeppan, Cameron Thurley and Trent Bartlett played well, while Brad Moran and Chad Jones kicked a few goals each.
For North Ballarat Ashley Watson, Daniel Pratt, Andrew Swallow and Matt Riggio played well, while Nathan Saunders was leading well. Callum Urch kicked a couple of 1st quarter goals before injuring a hamstring.
For us North supporters it was a trying day, not knowing who to barrack for, but we won either way, so we'll see what happens throughout the season

Both played (as did a few of the others you would know..Pitt, Hazell, Obst, Milly, McMahon). Lawrence swapped between a forward pocket and a midfield role. Cotchett kicked a goal, but did spend a lot of time providing movement out of defence.

Hopefully Brent Evans and Banger are back next week.

Maybe so.. I never expected us to win a flag in 2006. I still think finishing in the eighth is acheivable.

We've only played the one praccy match, with about 10 players out and basically no interchange bench.

If we get flogged this week by Springvale, then I will start to worry!

Can anyone please tell me how Brad Sutcliffe is going. Will he play seniors or reserves. I read he kicked a goal in the match against frankston. Also Warren Carlyle?

Was named in the twos on Saturday, but ended up playing in the Seniors... came off on crutches after an injury midway through the second term.

Carlyle rucked well against Eames.

I thought Warren didnt do much, made a few mistakes, but it was there first hitout. Big boy tho. Sutcliffe looked good, till the injury is his season over? it looked like he was in a lot of pain
