How about the ICC appeal to have the new form of the game instilled into the next Commonwealth Games?

a twenty20 world cup seems trivial, but since the ICC wants it how about adding it to another trivial event?

Fans in India will certainly go and cricket needs a sport in the Commonwealth games since it's only played between countries of the Commonwealth!

yeah good idea. i'd leave international twenty20 cricket for the world cup/olympics or someting, make it rare, it's crap.

I was actually thinking of this the other day how good it would be to have one this year, with obviously the ICC not stopping International games and then CA would pick a side that doesnt take away from either of the teams in the Pura Cup final as well as all players I am sure would rather play the final than this crap

Thats funny because they have practically guaranteed a 20/20 World Cup of some sort by making the ICC dump the Champions Trophy after this year as we all know the ICC will want some money spinner to fill the void
