Maybe cos people want to know what's really happening in the world such as places like Innisfail or their respective cities rather than "Australia won 13 gold medals today, and we're gonna show all of them."
When all the hurricanes hit the Carribean & US I knew about them days in advance, but this cyclone...I didn't hear one bit of a possible disaster until after it happened.

Prison Break really suffered and it was a ripper of an episode- not wonder 7 held back on their big guns. Even Today Tonight beat it......how embarassing.
Speaking of which, Rove's figures must be getting worse by the week. Surely not long now until it is punted.......or 10 have something better to show.

Smart move by Seven. Their big shows seem to be hanging on to their younger audience fairly well, but its the older groups that have really been switching over to the Games in droves.

Numbers was being flogged during L&O last night.Isn't that show just a mathmatical version of Diagnois Murder ?
The useless cop gets his brother to solve the crimes.D.ick Van Dyke use to always solve the crimes his useless cop son couldn't.
