I was having a bid for the dirty GFC jumpers from the GF, fancied the Egan number 19 for the study in the Turbocat Pondarosa but apparently the Auction has been cancelled because the players want to keep the jumpers themselfs. Who says it means nothing to the players or whatever.

hmmmm I can understand if it was a day premiership, but if its truly the case that the players want to keep the jumpers it seems a bit precious :thumbsd:

I was going to have a crack at Egan's jumper too....

I bet the HS sell more DVDs than any other year.

I reckon it's great the players want their jumpers. Prob a few pi**ed of bidders, but hey, you get that.

Makes you wonder if the marketing dept expected them to lose! Hmm....

I think it's more of a case of HOW we won, rather than BECAUSE we won. Had we comfortably beaten the Crows by 30 odd points, I think the players would have been happy to continue the auction.

It was a great win from behind, and the jumper could be an inspiration to the player and I'm sure it means a lot to them, I mean, if I kicked that nine-pointer that Smithy kicked, I'd probably want to keep my jumper too.

It shows that they’re committed to the club and will stop at nothing less than success. To me, their reactions after the match and their desire to want to savour any moment they can, typifies to me that they’re craving success as much as the supporters.
