Anyone else longing for the days when Fran Drescher's charmingly nasal voice would eminate from our televisio speakers?
I always thought this show was underrated by people with tall poppy syndrome. Niles was one of the all-time brilliant sitcom characters imo.

Niles was great, his constant abuse of CC was gold. The rest of the characters, especially Fran, shat me to tears.

A lame, dull, unfunny, run of the mill US sitcom with the most annoying lead character of any show I have ever witnessed on television. The entire cast should be put against a wall and shot for crimes against television comedy.

Niles and CC saved the show from becoming standard sitcom crap IMO. It died in the arse when they got together.

Agree with JS and FBF, aside from the side Niles v CC feud the show was utter trash. However Niles wasn't good enough to warrant watching the show just for him, and eventually his attacks on CC became very similar and boring.

Niles was good
The Nanny's voice was terrible though but i'd still slap her around.
Underrated comedy = Married with Children
RJ polease tell me you set this up as a sting operation to catch out the bad taste posters...

i'm dumbfounded that people think niles saved the show, nothing could save that show.... it was dreadful .!

Wasn't the best show, I've seen a lot worse though.
Fran Drescher had a fine arse and good set of puppies, but the only way you could watch the show was with the mute button on.

I loved that show. Got crap in the last year or two though
Fran's voice was less annoying than George's (Seinfeld) whining.
I can't sit through a minute of Seinfeld without getting really angry, I can at least sit through a minute of The Nanny before I won't to rip her head off.
Terrible , could not stand it .

I agree that the Niles and CC feud made the show watchable. Brighton was good value too.

Strangely I've seen more of the Russian version of The Nanny than the American version... they used the same scripts and everything!
