For those competing in one of our Dream Team leagues, I will need you to post the name of your team in here so that we know which team belongs to who. This will be the "official" ongoing thread for our overarching Dogs Board Comp.
We still have plenty of available spots for anyone who wants to join up.

I am considering a change as well. Just be careful, because they do become 'locked in' at some point.

Okay, just so all the info needed is in the one thread, the league code that you need to join our league is: 458135
There is also one spot remaining in the league which has been aimed at "more experienced" players. Any of the users in the other league are welcome to switch across if they like, but remember there is only one spot left: 167404
Remember, we have been requesting that competitors stick to a theme of naming their team after a no longer existing sporting team. Its not a requirement or anything, just a bit of fun. Names already in use are...

Never been in one of these things before and wasn't really sure how to go about it so it will be interesting to see how I went this round.Geez the money on the salary cap doesn't go very far.I wanted to get Brent Stanton but couln't fit him.I had Lloyd and Williams who both kicked 8 which should score me a few shouldn't it?Unfortunately I think I chose a couple of players who were injured without my knowledge.

I was up over 1,800, which put me on top of my league. Were you the top score in your league OS? We will have to get one person from each of our leagues posting updates on the leading total so far, so everyone can keep track of where they sit in r/ship to the overall leader of our comp.

We only have about 8 people in the other league at the moment and yes I am the current leader. I think I scored 1839 points.

Well my first try and in my haste I have had 4 players that didn't register a score due to them not playing so I am just happy to not be last.Will put a bit more research into it this week.Pretty happy with some of my selections though.I had Lloyd and Mark Williams who kicked 16 between them and I snaged Dane Swan pretty cheaply who picked up 34 possies.How do I go about changing my side to get rid of the unavailable players?I am allowed 2 trades yeah?

From memory, I've started poorly each year. I've already wielded the axe on two "what was I thinking" selections. And I'm starting to question whether a few of my high priced recruits are worth their paycheck after ordinary performances on the weekend. Spider's on notice and Lindsay and Murph better lift their game.

You can trade two players each week but I'd caution against doing too many early in the season. In the finals you need to have some trades left.

Which idiot added his team twice? I am sure it was a horrible accident and I hopefully he will figure out how to delete the second less succesful team at some point.

I had Lloyd for most of the week leading up to the first lockout but he was a last minute delisting. I was at the Dons game Saturday night and spent a fair bit of it whingeing about not having him in my team!
I had 16 out of a possible 22 playing (no one on my bench will play this year) and no captain, therefore my score sucked.

Another poor round. About 1460 again from memory. I'm about 42000 places behind you. I'm not sure there's enough weeks left in the year now to catch up.
The last change I did last week was to remove Monfries from the emergency list and use it for a forward (who didn't play) as I thought all my centres would play. It would have been handy for Monfries to replace Luke Ball.
Two of my expensive players are being traded tonight. Difficult choice though as most of them are under-performing.

I'm in the top 500 for one of my teams in another comp and with the values getting recalculated next week my salary cap will increase heaps

Good work mate. My team is 161 overall. I was 31 after rd 1 but slipped a bit after round 2.
I'm not in this league though.
1917 in R3. I've had to use 4 trades in 2 weeks though to reverse some shocking preseason selections. Still more needed but I'm starting to get in shape for R1 of the "real stuff".
I got a massive 670 or something. No idea what happened...

That is a ripping result in a round that was low scoring generally. I made a couple of errors in selection and ended up somewhere in the 1700's. I dropped to 75th overall. Given the poor round and the fact i didn't drop all that far (relatively speaking) i think had i nailed my team selection i may have gone up in the rankings! I am pretty sure now that 25th will be a lifetime best.
