A question for everyone, is Jana a drama queen or just a misunderstood champion?

I would say a bit of both...but I like that touch of arrogance about her, she ran a great race to win the gold medal, well done to her.

She's a drama queen no doubt. She plays the media, good and bad, like a fiddle. But she has talent, no doubt. Champion? Not sure - That's generally reserved by the the drug fuelled athletes of the 80's and 90's.

Drama queen who happens to be a champion at her sport.

How would you define "Champion"?

You can go with a literal aspect with Jana, given you win 'World Championships' in athletic events, and she has done that.

In a general sense i think the term champion isn't appropriate for Jana.

From an Australian perspective I think she would be classed as a champion but I'm not sure whe would be seen in same light by other athletes. Needs to be more consistent on the world stage.

She still has her best running ahead of her and if she can get the right manager then she can repair her image here quickly.

Yes, she did say to the reporter after she won the Gold Medal..that she will try and let her feet do the talking in the future instead of her mouth and a desire to rebuild herself. The crowd was right behind her...it's the Aussie way we all love our sports stars even if they annoy us from time to time.

Drama queen. I find her media antics annoying (whether that's the media's fault or hers is debatable). However, it was good to see her do so well last night. Despite personal opinions, the expectation on her to win last must have been incredible. Can't help but admire someone that can stand up and peform under that sort of scrutiny. New Games record to boot.

We met her [harrassed her for an autograph :D ] at a restuarant recently - she was very friendly, seemed like a very nice person.
