As one who feels he generally respects this forum and uses it for discourse on matters of fact, I would support any change in your approach.

I would applaud your decision to cease making up stories about A grade players being enticed to C Grade clubs for under the table $$$$ and sending them directly to me (in the context of C Grade scribe with a connection to the VAFA).

Fortunately, after replying to your PM (in which you represented yourself as the player who received the bogus offer) I checked your story's bona fides with a close friend and former housemate of the person you pretended to be.

Naturally it turned out to be a complete fabrication.

Then I read your 'sticky' retraction and frankly, I have learned my lesson too. Brian, you're not a legend, you're the complete opposite, never to be believed and forever to be ignored.

Well, fair enough Scribe, I can't comment on anything to do with OC. I was requested by Big Footy to apologise as a certain clubs administration and coaching staff made legal threats to Big Footy, now thats the bottom line and truth. Let me ask you this hypothetical question...what would you say if you were having a drink at the cricketers arms last week and you saw a new recruit, whom you are good friends with, being wined and dined by a Vice President of an amateur football club, and this VP 'gives' the new recruit $400 and tells him to have a bet the following day?
This has been confirmed by several quality people, including a former VAFA State player. Whether you believe me or not Scribe, I hope that bothers you as an Amateur person as much as it bothers me. The whole point is that some clubs are giving financial inducements to footballers to help them have success, and that is against the spirit of Amateur Football.
