Pittman appointed to AFL Tribunal

AFL football operations manager Adrian Anderson has announced that dual Adelaide premiership ruckman David Pittman has been appointed to join the six-man jury for the AFL Tribunal, effective immediately.
Pittman, who played 131 games for the Crows between 1992-99, replaces former Geelong forward Barry Stoneham, who stepped down earlier this year to return to a role with Geelong.
Mr Anderson said the AFL was delighted Pittman had agreed to join the Tribunal panel.
"We have been seeking a panel member based outside of Victoria, and David's experience as a premiership player is also complemented by his role at Port Adelaide for three years as an assistant coach, culminating in their 2004 Premiership year," he said.
Pittman joins Wayne Schimmelbusch, Richard Loveridge, Emmett Dunne, Stewart Loewe and Michael Sexton as the former players on the AFL Tribunal, with three of the group to decide a player's guilt or innocence at any Tribunal hearing.
