Looking at our match ups for round 1 on the whole I'm pleasantly surprised. However whilst I'm loath on one hand to look beyond this week (I certainly don't see it as an easy win), as soon as Tredrea returns we are going to face a quandary.

The talls named this week : Brogan, Lade, Bishop, Wakelin, Chaplin, Pettigrew, White, C. Cornes.
8 talls is really as many as you want named or you start to lose having enough rotations through the centre. So when Tredders returns we are facing either a surplus of talls or we have to drop a tall.
Which is where I'm being cynical and am already depressed in advance. Brogan, Lade, Wakelin and Chad obviously stay. And I'd say short of getting 5+ kicked on him each week Chaplin is a monty. Unfortunately I think we can already pencil in White or Pettigrew - most likely White - to be dropped for Tredders, no matter his form. I'd hope Choco does the sensible thing and ditches Bishop instead, but anyone else already sure we are soon enough going to return to the White is being shafted argument ?

8 talls is normal Port setup, Andre.

Start thinking of Chad as a midfielder, and you'll see there's room for Tredrea to come in for a small.

2 rucks - Brogan, Lade
2 tall forwards - Tredrea, White
2 tall backs - Chaplin, Wakelin
2 "third talls" - Bishop & Pettigrew
1 tall on the bench (standard in 2005) - none, but Cornes wherever we want him.

Yep - I made the mistake yesterday of worrying that we didn't have enough talls for this weeks game (I was already considering chad as a midfielder).

The beauty is that if we get caught short - chad can play tall.

Pettigrews the same - has size about him but seems to be able to play small also.
