Geelong are just superb.
They just have their crap mtogether and they are making their own luck.
We haven't been able to put any sort of game plan into action and thats going to be the tgale of the tape up till full time.
I can take some solace in the fact that its not the Brisbane Lion's best football being played, if that was the case, I'd be really worried.

Otto again. Welcome back big fella.
Byrnes sprints away from Aker, Ottens dummies around Michael and goals.
I suppose we should be saying well done Geelong ,they are playing really well, good luck to them.
But it is awful to watch, they are a class above us, Harding looks ok, and thank god for Bradshaw.

Merrett is a complete spaz sometimes.
The bloody AFL site is a dog's breakfast. How am I supposed to get the scores when the damn site wont load?

the Mantis goals to put the cats up by 63
Mackie goals. Byrnes is killing Chris Johnson.
12.9 - 2.6
Geez, Tony Shaw just listed the Cats players out, there's about 5 players who would easily slot right into this side still out.

Useless bastards.
On the upside, looks like we're doing fantastically!

No respect for the lies that will come form the Press Conference.
No excuse for lazy football. No trying. Pathetic effort from top to bottom.
reminds of 1998, when we were a mess on and off the field. No on cares.
How many did the Saints beat us by again, and SYdney.
You try, you give a damn a yelp, not this baby stuff.

Lions just copped a 3 thousand dollar fine for not being in position at final siren.
I dont think Lethal cares, he wanted every second to rail into the players.

They must be pretty dispirited if that's the case. Not that it is a surprise, but still, that's a pretty poor effort.

a couple more goals would be a nice icing on the cake.
I didn't expect this did anyone else? Perhaps I'm living in the past I thought these sort of performances were long gone.I really thought it would be a better year

Lowest score for Brisbane is 26 against Richmond back in 89.
However, lowest score against Geelong is 50, so one record will be broken :(

I expect us to go down today sadly, but I didn't expect this sort of performance. Especially in Round ONE, and coming off a season without a FINALS appearence

C'mon Lions try and nab some junktime goals to make this a little less embarrassing.
I say this with a bit of hope for my sake but at the moment are Brisbane extremly close to going below Richmond on the ladder?? I dont know what percentage Richmond ended up on last night but Brisbane would be neck and neck with it I would think.

I think its the no heart.
Being Queenslanders,. you expect your players to walk over hot coals in a match, to win at all costs. To have desire. Not to play like this.
Something is very very wrong.

Ok maybe not. That goal takes them away from us a bit I think.

Percentage means nothing until round 22.
Yeh I know but I have a flogging coming my way when I return to College on Monday and it would be nice to say we aren't on the bottom!

True that. I guess this is the pain of being in rebuilding phase. Lets just hope we find heart to play footy next week against Essendon.
Geelong played incredible today, make no mistake. My Dad and his brother will be pleased after today. Well done Cats :thumbsu:

Their win against us in 2004 was their first since 1995 I do believe.

Only one win since 1997. EDIT: Make that 1995, 1996 was a draw.

Yep we well and truly owed them this one.
We are irrestible at the moment.
Thank god for Bradshaw! we can only go up from here surely ,we do have some great players, they should be very ashamed of themselves today!!
Clark will be good,a couple of positives I guess. It looks like the Cats and the Dogs are in for a good year, good luck to them
we have had a great run ,now it is some one elses turn, the bullies will be my second team this year
Lets hope this is our worst performance over and done with ,losing is awful getting flogged is horrible

Did you hear the cheers, when he was going off. reminds me of the Sydney crowd when Nige broke his leg last year.
Some crowds are disgusting. I suppose I shouldn't be surpirsed these guys cheers when Nathan Brown broke his leg.Cheers as well when Hartys face was rearranged.
Also, please make the rule interpretations the same for each team. I am sitting watching this gane with 2 AFL umpires, who don't barrack for us mind you, and they are going ballisitic at the umpires inpterpretations and misses. The cheers were for Gary Ablett NOT for the injured player.
