I have a feeling this ship has already sailed.Hey, I didn't say we wouldn't have to exploit it. :o
Two quick goals to Port, 15 point margin.

Nah its cool, thats North's version of cruise time.
We're in cruise time? Uh oh......... :(
How long will it be until the old chestnut, the ****** spirit is dragged out by some clown.
*Cue vomit sound*
If Port Adelaide doesn't write a letter to the AFL regarding tonight's umpiring, there is a serious problem.
What is it.... 11-27 or something at present?

I'm glad the word "bitches" hasn't been added to the filter yet.

Normally reserved for brave, come-from-behind wins. Hope it won't be necessary on this occasion.
Lade misses a set shot, 17 points the diff.

A letter to their mothers may be more effective.
Macintosh off, straight up into the rooms, hopefully not to serious.
Been good tonight.
Brown steadies the "cruise" ship. Roo's by 23 points.
Leroy Brown makes the margin 23 points.

We want our first round draft pick back.

It's a sad indictment on the game when a team can be comprehensively umpired out of a game, no matter who it is.
Hey, its evening-up free kick time! Bad luck Arch
Just under four minutes left...

I picked this. W00t.

Ditto... how's Hay's game been?
Another goal to North... that's about it.

Comentators are saying that the Roo's have just wanted it more, their seniors players have stood up when the game was in the balance.
So some blame has to go to the Port players.
And this is the biased 5AA comentators.
Goal to Harding.........29 points
Has Motlop lost the plot? ;)
Harvey makes it a 41 point lead.

Whoah! Ease up tiger! You're in the big league now, plenty of teams copped the rough end of the pineapple while playing at Alberton back in the 'good old days'. It's just your turn. ;)
Here's something to turn that frown upside down:

How has Hays game been anyone?
Thank god Kangas came through because I am currently 2/5 in tipping at the moment.

North paying $2.40 at the TAB. Wish I had more than the $40 on it
afl.com livescores:
"Match status: Period Complete"
It's not ice hockey
BOG for me was Wells, swung the game when they were in big trouble.

5 out of 5 for me

Port 5.3, 8.5, 11.6, 13.9 87
North 3.3, 8.6, 14.10, 19.14 128
31-15 in favour of Kangaroos
Where is the rule that says free kicks have to be even?
Was wondering what happened to Wanganeen, no kicks 9 handballs no possessions in the last quarter, did he finish on the bench?

Yes the 5Aa comentators are saying that as well, but they are also giving full credit to the Roo's for the win.
Where is the rule that says free kicks have to be even?Don't be obtuse, it is perfectly clear from the commentary, the comments of fans of both sides on here, and the massive crowd reaction, that the umpiring was extremely poor. The free-kick count indicates this too, it has nothing to do with rules.

I've listened to more matches on 5AA than I'd care, I don't think I've heard one yet where they haven't moaned about the umps favouring the SA teams opponents.
I haven't seen the match, from the sounds of things neither have you. As far as I can see that gives neither of us any right to say the umpiring was good or bad.

How about the rule of umpiring with common sense and without an appearance of blatant favouritism?
Twice in one night, Essendon and the Kangaroos
Congrats to North on a fine win. I didnt tip them on here ( only my work one did I tip them) but a good effort first up
Port seemingly have some work to do , unless the free kick analysis shows they were robbed. Sometimes that can upset a team but we shall see.
We want our first round draft pick back.
to be fair, North did warn you ;)
Well played Kangas, too good tonight.
3,2,1's everyone????
Thanks, the pic is cold comfort, but hey, sometimes cold is damn hot ;)
Damn...where did that pic of Melissa Theuriau go?
to be fair, North did warn you ;)You are kidding, right?

You can do all that and still come out with an uneven free kick count.

What a crying, sooking bucnh of **********. We got more free's because we are harder at the ball and are willing to put our bodies on the line. You are not. It is that simple.

Port fans are a bunch of sore losers, i watched the game on Foxtel and the roos absolutely trashed those so called men wearing teal.
my votes...

I was hoping itd be a close game (was at 1/2time), these thumpings are getting old. Only one relatively close game this weekend so far.

I get the feeling that people aren't aware of the stupid rules that are in place. If you chop someone's arms its a free kick. If you don't get rid off the ball as soon as you get it and you get tackled its holding the ball (they are pretty hot on this one and have been all of the pre-season)
I didn't think the umpiring was as bad as people are making it out to be. Sure there were a couple of dodgy ones that you get every game and there were a few missed but overall, its wasnt as bad as the Port faithful make it out to be. Its not the reason why they lost the game.

welldone Roos!!
good to see Port supporters whinging about the umps after a loss
North didnt get a great run with the umps against the Eagles yesterday but we still won
Port need to worry about their gameplan, and their cattle, not about the umps

I watched the replay this morning and have to agree that the vast majority of free kicks were there, a lot of them were for things like taking out the arms, not disposing of the ball properly, sitting over the ball. Yeah, these are all annoying free kicks and I hate them aswell but we just didn't get caught with the ball as much or infringe as much so it accounts for some of the difference.
We did get a good ride though, no denying that but it had no real impact on the game. Port not hitting targets after the first quarter really contributed to a lot of the frees. Umpires did not pay some of them for Port, but don't think there was a massive amount.
