Similar sort of players. I think McPhee is a bit quicker, but Milburn is a better contested mark. Who would you rather?

i'd actually rate mcphee as a better contested mark but he's injured a bit too much and tries to act like a psycho mad prick when he's really not. Both very very good players

Milburn. His sheer work rate and consistency gives him the honours.

FWIW, he is fantastic overhead.

Can't split them.

Milburn is more consistent. McPhee is probably the more brilliant.
Both exceptional footballers and would walk into any side as defenders (or any other position for that matter).

I think McPhee will turn out the better footballer. Milburn is quality and very reliable but i think McPhee will turn out to be more of a matchwinner.

Milburn has better footy smarts though. One area McPhee needs to work on - his decision making can be a bit erratic at times.

Tough call, both top players. I'd probably take Milburn just because of his consistency, but McPhee could end up being a better player.

Milburn for mine, can play at either end and reads the play brilliantly. Natural footballer.

hmmmm, surprised that the majority are seeming to go with Milburn. Are people forgetting that McPhee has been AA while Milburn has not?

Not disputing your opinion, but just this particular point. McPhee has actually won us games on a couple of occassions up forward. He hasn't had many opportunities to go forward, but when he has, he's been outstanding.

Are you suggesting 1 good year is better than 6 or 7 consistent years ?

I think he is making the suggestion that it might say McPhee's best is better and the only thing that has held him back from being conistency is his age and injury in 2005.

Strange poll,very different players.

Solid dependable team man V younger"potential" match winner.

Dont think you can underestimate the AA honour,IMHO Milburn is consistently good but is a million to one to ever be AA.

"million to one" my arse.

He has been very stiff to miss the last two seasons.
Wait and see this year.

Just being consistently good is not enough.
Although if Croad can be All Australian I guess anything's possible.

They just dont pick guys like Milburn as AA,thems the facts.
Theres always a couple who get in every yr on reputation, see Ben Hart.
Only leaves 3-4 spots & it aint gunna be Milburn.

ohh good poll.

Both great Utilitys.
McPhee will be great in the near future (well he is great now) and Milburn is one of Geelongs most under-rated players (along with Corey Enright and Joel Corey) and also in the comp.

Id prefere Milburn, but thats obviously because i have seen alot more of him and is one of my fav players, whether he plays up forward, down back or on a wing.

i'd pick milburn, doesnt have a very high profile so he doesnt get the plaudits he deserves from most fans, very stiff to never been an AA

Mliburn will never be rated the player McPhee is but McPhee will never be the footballer Milburn is end of story. I wouldn't swap em for quids.
