Classic Carlton of the last few years - when we get slightly on top of a team we waste our chances in front of goal like we did this Quarter - should be a couple in front.
Hopefully we can hang in there for 4 quarters because I don't think we'll be able to build a big enough lead with our own good play to hold off Melbourne if they ever get a run on.

BTW he had 5 for the qtr, not 5 before he kicked his goal :rolleyes: It was at most his 2nd kick in league footy as I remember about 3 after he kicked the goal

Well I just hope we can hang on the final term now. The boys have been very brave and probably deserve to be about 7 goals up rather than the 23 pts. Melbourne does have a historical habit of running over us in the last quarter so hopefully that's not the case this time.

:D Great win by the boys no doubt inspired by Kouta's 250th. Fevola excellent and did some good 1%'s, Whitnal and Lappin untouchable mopping up in the backline, Waite shows his potential (imagine if he had kicked straight!) and a great debut for Murphy!
As a Blues fan I can't ask for anything more.
Fevola chasing opponents? carlton wins first game? Enjoying footy on the radio? eddies posts not infuriating?
