I know most of us would prefer to be awarding Firing Squad orders, still I suppose we can't have a blank spot on the tally at the end of the year.
5. Johnson; really the only positive out there today at all. Committed well and did ok attempting to salvage the damage our midfield was letting through.
4. Haselby
3. McManus; 6 tackles and 20-odd. I know we love to get stuck into him, but he was the only midfielder who looked aggressive at all.
2. Bell; tailed off towards the end, but that can be excpected when he's expected to extricate us from everywhere that it's going wrong.
1. McPharlin; junk goals, but really the only forward who performed at all.

I was fearful about my buddy McManus' inclusion- but he did his job quite well.
Most disappointed about the result- though at least the percentage didn't take a big hit. Those are about the only positives i've found.

Bitterly disappointed with the performance and, let's face it, it's difficult to find players who played well.

A question. Which of our players are responsible for winning the ball out of the middle?
For me, our money men are Haselby and Bell. Even though they had okay games, we need them to be doing their number one job.

No votes this week from me as I only got to see the first half due to my summer sporting interest.
Thought Macca was doing well, Hasleby was AWOL and where were the crumbers in the forward line?.

Did we agree who would do this, cos I've worked out this week's. If I start another thread later with just the round by round results, could we maybe sticky it sabre. Just results, no posts. The weekly voting could be just in regular threads... Thoughts??
Anyway, results from week 1... There was a clear "best", then 3 that followed pretty closely together, then a huge gap to "the rest"....
