hi guys...
I'm hosting a party this weekend...and quite foolishly we're organising the music ourselves so I'm going to throw this question out to everyone!
What are your favourite party songs???
or
what songs would you expect to hear at a party??
is pantera acceptable?

Make sure you keep some rubbers in the wallet in that case. ;)

Pantera is acceptable everywhere :D
for a party i usually crank out the dance music for a while then get onto some rocky/punky stuff like Grinspoon or Frenzal then go back to Dance stuff later on

Yes, especially at parties for pot smoking, bourbon drinking 13 year olds, held in caravan parks! ;)
I reckon it depends on what type of party you're planning on having, and who will be attending.
Also, I think it's best to choose albums which are good, rather than go by bands/artists.
Bring It On (Gomez) and Urban Hymns (The Verve), always work pretty good, from my experiences.

Either way, Pantera is acceptable everywhere. When I go clubbing, the music ****s me so much I feel like asking the DJ if he can put on "Cowboys From Hell"
And on the odd occasion I have asked, drunk, not one has done it yet.

We tried that trick at a bar called "Geisha" which was a bit too puncyarsed and trendy and elite.
Walked up to the DJ. "Can you play some Limp Bizkit?" "No sorry, don't have any." "Awwwwwwww"
:D

And I bet his next line was
"We have Creed though, want us to play that instead?? Maybe some Nickelback??"
Just so typical of the world today!

It does depend what type of party it is. For a nice party for 2, you can't beat a bit of Barry White......;)
