The exciting youngster from Collingwood, Dale Thomas has showed why he was the no.2 pick in the 2005 NAB AFL Draft, impressing fans all over the country with a great debut.

An excellent pre-season, Thomas made his debut in the first round with high expectations from supporters. He had 16 touches and 8 marks and 2 goals. Also, he took a Mark of the Week contender with a speccy taken over the Adelaide defence, and then to top off a magnificent debut that raised eyebrows of the general public he took on champion player Andrew McLeod.

Dale Thomas is the Round 1 BigFooty Emerging Star winner and is nominated for the overall winner of the 2006 BigFooty Emerging Star.
