Deledio. Not knocking murphy, he is good - but deledio has the body, height, pace and skills to be an elite player. Murphy is good, but he won't be quite the player.

Fair assessment at this stage

I will never respect Deledio. If he was taken at say pick 50, no body would give a rats about him.

the onyl reason everybody knows who he is, is because last year he was on the back page every week for absolutley no reason.

I am not trying to start anybody, but just take a step back and have a look at all the other players who could easily match it with brett, but never get given a go.

IM not sure how you can compare the 2. Marc Murphy has played 1 game of AFL.

They are both talented players but I would have to take Delido.

nobody will ever ever dispute the fact ur a grade "A" W$nker!
lets not respect the kid because of the herald suns decision to make him a pin up boy. You obviously have no clue about our great game if you cant at least respect somebody who is looking to be a future champion of the leauge..,..... wake up to yourself, im sure brett didnt ring and ask to have the burden and responsibility of being one of the games elite in his second year of footy, its twits like you that make such a position so undesirable.

Marc Murphy looks a freak..... but i cant respect him, the weeks leading up to the draft and after....his head was everywhere.... the nerve of the kid....hope he has a shocker

What do you mean by this? Of course any player who is "annoited" as the number one draft pick by the media and people like Kevin Sheehan, will get a lot of coverage in the press.

Stupid, stupid comparison (but I had to be a hypocrite and vote :p). Obviously I voted for Deledio and I don't think Murphy will probably ever match Deledio's class BUT having said that, he had a better debut than Brett ;)

And some people wonder why BigFooty is in the degenerative state that it is. What's wrong with answering the question/poll put forward? Maybe you should go start a www.daisythatsagirlsnamethomas.com.au so all you inbred Magpies can blow your load as much as you want without disrupting others.

As for the original post, I'll stick with the cliche, "it's too early to tell, but to this point I'll have Deledio," line.

I haven't really seen much from this kid yet to justify all the hype from the Doggies supporters.

So, has any opinion changed after Carlton's 9 games this year?

I would rate them pretty much even, in terms of potential and team contribution.
