Acknowledged that Griffen's still young, a good player and probably has a bit to learn about handling the media, went on to say...
They will definetely use it, it would be posted all over the locker rooms and it will come back to haunt him.

As Rocket said 'the game is played on the ground, not in the papers'. For mine, I think it is great that Griffen has the confidence in his ability to say these things (although I am sure he will be more careful going forward) and secondly if Richmond need a 19 yo kids comments to fire them up then they and their coaching staff have lost the plot

Eade says that he is definately going to post Brian Royal's comments on the lockers. "..just to remind Choco that our blokes won't tolerate bullying of second year players" Meanwhile at Punt Road, the players are arguing among themselves over who's locker Royal can paste copies of the article.

Since joining Wallace and Brown at Richmond, Royal has become an idiot as well.

I hear on the grapevine they are worried about their lockers being accidently being glued shut and not being able to open them again.

It's nice to have a bit of fun at Richmond's expense but Choco is only doing his job. 199 games, the modesty and the good grace with which he accepted his lot, Brian Royal is a role model. He's a Footscray icon.

I think this says a fair bit about where the coaching staff at Richmond, to use a Wallace saying, 'is at'.

Don't understand why they are getting so fired up about it - are they admitting that they played their best to lose by 115 points? I know Richmond supporters who said the same thing as Griff.

Intially, I'm sure that he would have had some reason to be annoyed at not being given his chance. But, after a year an looking at the tremendous job Eade has done, surely he can see the dogs made the right desicion.

Coupled with the fact that we went the untried option in Rhode and failed, the backlash from supporters and sponsors would have been potentially disasterous.

Hopefully he's not self centered enough to not be able to see the aforementioned obvious points!??

Is he?

I think Choco was disappointed at not getting the job after Wallywood and Rhode was chosen ahead of him. After Rhode the dogs targeted really only one person and they got their man dont think Choco is upset at Eade getting the job ahead of him.

That makes much more sense. Who wouldn't be upset about not being chosen ahead of that calamity of so called coach.

Wallywood

By far the most appropriate and amusing nickname i have ever seen him given. :) Did you make it up yourself?

Royal surely has more to worry about than Ryan Griffen.

Choco is a Bulldog legend.....but he wants Richmond to succeed right now!!!!

Another interview this morning from Chocco:
"Some of our players have a lack of belief that they don't belong at AFL level."

You had me as soon as you said, "Wallywood."

Unbeatable favourite for post of the year.

Agree, I love Royal, he was a great player and incredibly humble with it.
Me thinks they have lost the plot a tigerland at the moment. Nothing went according to script and they don't have an answer as to what went wrong. Walleywood tried the it's a long haul approach and tried to suggest that he laid the foundations for last week's success by us. Except that he left because he said he couldn't get anything more out of those players. Then the Griffen deflection was used, which others have tried, and today the ridiculous our game plan was leaked nonsense.
You have to have the ball to institute a plan. It wasn't anything thing to do with their plan; we denied them the ball and made some of their senior players look out of place in AFL ranks. They have massively overestimated the talent on their list, it doesn't increase just because Walleywood talks it up. These are the truths they don't want to or are unable to face.

Chris Grant might as well come out and say, "The Tigers are a deadset rabble, and I trust that Browny will enjoy his third wooden spoon in three years." Choco could spraypaint this on the Punt Road turf, but all the motivation in the world is not going to infuse their list with enough talent to actually get over the line against us.

I liked it before i knew my footballing hero's had voices.

(And Dogupya, i meant between Wallace and Rohde, not Eade)
