Calling All Dogs

Hello to all Bulldogs everywhere,

Last Friday nights match against the Tigers was a fantastic result for the Club in more ways then one. Yes, our boys were extremely impressive on the field, shooting us to top spot on the league ladder. But what was equally impressive from my point of view was the amount of red, white and blue throughout the packed crowd.

The official crowd figure of over 43,000 people was an outstanding result from all Bulldogs supporters, but it is absolutely critical that we have ‘Bulldogs roll call’ and fill the stadium once again this Saturday against the Demons.

I know that all you dedicated Bulldogs supporters are already signed up and will be in attendance this weekend.

But I implore you to bring your family, friends, neighbours or anyone else to the match on Saturday. It doesn’t matter whether they follow the football, netball or basketball – bring them along and give them the opportunity to enjoy the Bulldogs exciting brand of football.

One thing that impressed me last week, was from my vantage point on Level 1 Bay 36, at one stage in the third quarter as I looked towards the La Trobe St end, there was a veritable sea of Bulldogs 2006 members caps. Now I wasn't initially a big wrap for the design, but it looked great - the majority of Bays between 36 and the high 20s were dominated by the caps. Looks great, hopefully we continue to see them in large numbers all year, and well into September.
