I had the Saints in one of my $10 multis this week (along with West Coast and Port). Thought that even with the saints @ $1.20 we were not a good enough chance of beating them.

Nevertheless, it was a first and a last time for me. Of course I was screaming for the Tiges, but deep down there was disgust that I had 'sold out' and tried to offset my dissapointment by backing the opposition.

Just interested in knowing if anyone else has ever backed the dark side and to what value.

I took the saints in a tip 4 against Richmond last year. I felt so dirty afterwards and havent done it since.

IDGAF, I almost took the Saints over 60 tonight and I probably would have if I thought they would win by that much. I dont generally consider opposition odds against the Tigers but if the price is right my love of money could possibly overcome.

When Brisbane were at their peak in 2003, we played them at the Gabba and I put 100 on Brisbane to win by 48.5 points plus. They won by 49, but I felt like a scoundrel when I collected my cash, so 2004 I upgraded my membership.

Never tipped against them.

Never put money on the opposition.

= Reason why i've never won a tipping comp or won much $$$ on a tiges game.

Oh and i put money on Richmond to win the premiership every year lol, one year it will pay off!!

I had $100 on carlton in the second game last year at $3.80. I had a sickenening feeling in my stomach on the way to the game so I thought Id at least win myself some cash if we were to lose. We lost.

Are you guys for real???

It's been the way I've paid my membership over many years supporting Punt Rd. What was a particularly beneficial period was during Frawley's era, where every loss meant his end was one match closer, and we couldn't beat an egg, so it was money for jam.

Stuff the ol' heart strings when it comes to the punt.

LMAO Harvey. I'm coming around to your POV after last weekend. Saints, Port and WCE turned $10 into $115.

I took my eyes of the yellow and black for only one second and took what satan was offering me.

I might do well to keep out of ultra light planes flying over mountain ranges over the next few years...

Idiot idiot idiot!!

I had the Crows in a tatts tip 8 this week. Sure enough, the only fault in my tipping was the Richmond-Adelaide game. I would have won atleast $1,500. Ripping my hair out, but it was all worth it for the victory... sorta.

I cant believe the dream odds the TAB had for the Port-Brisbane game though. Port were clear morals according to the TAB but Brisbane were always going to win it. I had $20 on Brisbane to win by over 39.5 @ $8-1. Whadda ya know, I have a bit of spending money this week.

There is no value in any games this weekend though. Maybe Brisbane over 39.5 again at $4-1. I think I will take the Tigers in the tip 8 this week.

I don't even want to know about the punt. Me and a mate usually take a couple of matches at decent value (ie, Sydney last week vs the Dogs at $1.58), multied-up and let it ride.

Went a little thick last week with Melbourne-Adelaide-Fremantle-Sydney-West Coast all the win @ $4.16. When I say thick, 4 figures thick. Richmond only one we missed out on, by 3 points after a 20 goal drubbing the previous week.

The only consolation I have is at least it was the Tiges that stuffed it up for us. Have to start building it up all over again.

I have thought about laying $5 on Richmond's opponent every week for 22 weeks in the hope I get them all wrong.

I put $50 on Adelaide at 5-1 to win by more than 10 goals as an insurance policy
Couldn't care less that I lost the money by winning

Thanks guys looks like you helped us win:D by backing against us.

Rule No. 1 for me is never back for or against Richmond ever. Over the years it must have saved thousands, Hang on where are those Thousands???????????

Who do you have your multi bets with?

Last year I used to have a Tip 4 every week but the TOTE and TAB dont do them any more, so how do I back a multi?

I have an account with IASBet, Centrebet, Sports Acumen and BetEzy that all cater for multi's. Sports Acumen will match any initial deposit you make into your account (ie, if you deposit $200, they match it, but it has to be used to punt with though), and as long as your bank details are correct, no other ID is req'd. BetEzy let you bet on credit!

Being online also lets you peruse different sports and multi up anything you want. I only hit the tote for horses, their sports odds are criminal.

They're for the multi's ID. Can't leave out the Betfair, Eskander and Peter Coster's Doublebet.

Now it's starting to dawn on me why I'm not taking any of my annual leave....
