Was much better this week than last. Did some great tackling and was close to being back to his best tonight IMO. :thumbsu:

Also his kicking wasn't too bad, still needs work but he will always kick like that...How good was that mark he took against the flight to steal it from Harvey :)

Was better this week agreed .... but i still feel like i can hear the "cogs" in his brain grinding when he is thinking about what to do with the pill once he has got it .... a bit worrying .

Better off using that frame of his as a battering ram in the clinches i can`t help thinking .

If only he slotted that late goal

Good observation Santa. I noticed the same. :thumbsu:

His performance last week had me leaning to the conclusion that we overate him, but the way he played tonight reminded me of the hard at it, smart, tough and skilled Coughlan that we all know. Will help with his confidence. :D

P. Bowden missed a much easier shot than his, although Cogs should have kicked it

He did well tonight, he lacks polish with his kicks still which is a shame, but under the packs with a quick handball he was important.

Dont get me wrong bout cogs, I love him in our side yet I feel he has so much more to offer.. He seems atm to lack the X factor which we all know he has within him.. I think he has far more potential than he shows, plays great games yet I feel he has to try n become a dominant midfielder that wins games single handedly so to speak i.e. Judd, Johnstone, Voss, Buckley.. He has the ability to become this good just like lids will be.. thoughts?

Agreed.

Very good midfielder, but is a step or two off elite status which is what he should be aiming for this season. I think that he needs to kick more goals as well.

I thought Lenny Hayes creamed him all night and his kicking left a lot to be desired. Not a good game for him. But with Cogs, at least we know he has what it takes to come back into form and be a key player for us.

Mark seems to be trying to create the play, when he would be better served as the guy feeding the ball out
