Very hot form, Gippsland were lucky to get away with a 70 point pasting it could've quite easily been a 100 point blow out if the Knights just got a few to go through the big sticks. 39 scoring shots to 10 is just dominant!
And if it wasn't for Hansen and to a lesser extent Delphine it would have been 150 points.
And how Anderson didn't make it in the NK best with 35+ possessions and 3 goals is beyond me.
What do you guys think of Chris Varsamakis?
Played agaisnt him and he has very sticky hands.

Varsa has always been a great footballer. Improves every year. Unfortunately was on and off last year with injuries, so he didn't reach his full potential. However, this year looks to be his year. Has always been seen to his piers as a footballer who will make it.

Interesting.
In 2005 it was the Bronik bandwagon, is Varsamakis your 2006 one?
As for the game yesterday, was it windy down there fellas?

He has always been a gun with strong hands, with his injuries behind him and a full pre season under his belt he is primed for a big 2006. He's had a great start to the season with a BOG last week and another rippa on the w/e, he nearly put Hansen over the fence on Saturday it was an awesome hit. If he keeps this form up and stays injury free there's no reason why he wouldn't get drafted at the end of the year!!

Ye there was a bit of a breeze going down and across towards the scoreboard end. But nothing really to what the Knights played in at Willy last week against the Jets.

Good to see that Hansen is up and running already in 2006.

I agree Sezzac. Ando had 42 touches and kicked 3 goals, and couldn't make it into the top 6 for the Knights. Surely he'll get the 3 from the umpires.

Hey Sezzac
I have watched Power in their first two games this year I was wondering where you think they should be playing Hansen? In both games they have thrown him in the ruck to generate some momentum out of the middle but for most of the time he is playing CHB trying his best to keep the opposition from running riot.
Against Dandenong they switched him to CHF at one stage but after a couple of quick goals to the Stingrays he went straight back to CHB. We all know he can play CHB. Given that the TAC is supposed to be big on player development do you think he should be given a greater opportunity to play forward?
It was very noticeable that he could hardly walk on Saturday during the last quarter after covering a lot of ground during the game yet they left him out there until about 5 minutes to go even though the game was lost. The last quarter was a perfect opportunity to see if the others could step up without him.
Interested in your thoughts.

Hi Jimmy,
I think he plays in a more relaxed and comfortable fashion playing CHB. I am yet to see him really beaten when he plays CHB. Each time I have seen him at CHF he has done okay but doesn't look quite as comfortable with the role. He loves to run off HB and create an option.
In the 10-15 minutes he spent in the ruck at the start of the 3rd quarter on Saturday I thought he virtually won every tapout.
Because he is so versatile and GP is struggling, Huddo tries to play him to the teams best advantage. GP didn't have a winning ruck nor did they have a winning forward after 1/4 time so GP had to try and get some goals and momentum from somewhere.
The downside for them was that when Hansen left the CHB role Goldsack and Hughes could not hold down the job so Hansen got the SOS.
The worry is that Hansen will be stuffed before the U18 champs even get here. Hansen was bruised and battered on Saturday and should have come off 10 minutes into the last when the game was well and truly a mile gone.
I want to see a fit and fresh Hansen lining up on the likes of Sellar and Gumbleton this year. I say, let them go head to head to sort out the best :D

I believe he could be picked up, but I was more sure on BD.
